Google Ads Data Retention Policy & What You Need to Know 👇
From 1st June 2026, Google Ads has restricted access to historical performance data. Here's what's changing:
⏰ 37-Month Limit- Hourly, daily and weekly performance data will only be accessible for the previous 37 months. Anything older than this will no longer be available.
🗓️ 11-Year Limit- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting data will remain accessible for up to 11 years.
What this means for you?
If you use granular historical data for forecasting, benchmarking or year-on-year comparisons, that data may already be gone if it wasn't exported before the deadline.
What to do now?
Export any granular campaign data you still have access to and store it outside of Google Ads. This includes campaign performance reports, keyword data, ad group breakdowns, anything you reference for long-term planning.
