This weekend, I took Mo’sebetsi — a platform I’ve been building ,to the streets.
Not a paid ad campaign. Not a conference stand. Just a table, a pamphlet, and direct conversations with people.

Why? Because I believe the best way to understand your users is to meet them where they are.

Some people walked past. Some stopped. Some signed up. But every chat taught me something.

Entrepreneurship isn’t glamorous , it’s iteration, feedback, and consistency.

Mo’sebetsi is still in its early stages, but I’m committed to taking it to every street, every community, and every person who needs it.

As the Founder, I’ve been doing some footwork today, going door to door to introduce Mosebetsi. One thing I’ve learned quickly is that onboarding people onto a brand new platform isn’t always as simple as showing them the website.
The complexities I’ve noticed:
-Many business owners want to understand why they should trust a new platform.
-Some are not as comfortable with technology, so creating an account can feel like a hurdle.
-Time is always tight and if it takes too long to explain, you lose their attention.
***The solutions I’ll be applying on my next run***:
-Short, step-by-step onboarding guides (with visuals) to make sign-up less intimidating.
-A “show and do” approach: walking business owners through the registration on the spot.
-Follow up messages to support them after my first visit, so they don’t feel left alone.
- Collecting their feedback and using it to improve the onboarding process for the next business.
It’s definitely a learning curve, but every door I knock on makes Mo'sebetsi stronger. The more I engage, the clearer it becomes that this platform can truly make a difference for local businesses and freelancers or anyone looking to make money. As i always say to new comers , Happy Hunting! 😄
