If you have outdoor plans across Joburg or Pretoria this weekend, you might want to keep an eye on the sky. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is forecasting a cool, wet, and unsettled couple of days across the province, with a 𝟲𝟬% 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 on both Saturday and Sunday.

Here is a quick breakdown of what to expect:

* 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮: Mild daytime temperatures reaching around 23°C, dropping to 14°C overnight. While you can expect some clearer breaks during Saturday afternoon, late afternoon and evening thundershowers are very likely. Sunday stays unsettled with scattered showers continuing.
* 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴: Noticeably cooler, with maximums hovering around 20°C and lows dipping to 12°C. While Saturday midday might bring brief sunshine, heavier thundershowers are set to move in by the evening and carry over into Sunday.

Rainfall could reach around 10mm each day, so take it easy on the roads—especially later in the day when visibility drops and localised pooling forms on busy routes.
