*When briefing your graphic designer, it's natural to want to include every detail, every logo, every photo, every benefit, every phone number, every social media handle, and maybe even a partridge in a pear tree.
The challenge? Good design isn't about fitting everything in. It's about helping people notice the right things.
A common exercise in design studios is to create the version that includes every requested element - simply to demonstrate why it doesn't work. More often than not, once everything is on the page, it becomes clear that the message gets lost in the clutter.
The irony is that the more information you try to communicate at once, the less your audience is likely to remember.
When providing feedback, try identifying:
✔️ The single most important message
✔️ The action you want people to take
✔️ The information that's truly essential
The rest? It can often live on your website, in a follow-up post, or somewhere else in your marketing journey.
Remember: if everything is shouting for attention, nothing gets heard.
