We’ve been a bit quiet on here and that’s because quite a few things have changed as to how we approach Van Der Media.

Firstly, Jana has taken on the role of Marketing Manager for one of our clients,  - which is super exciting (🥳!!), but it also means we have had to change a few things about our offerings:

The main change is that we no longer offer social media management as a service for the time being. 

BUT even though we can’t manage your social media full-time for you currently, we do still offer ✨social media strategy-, planning- & paid-ad training sessions✨ so that you can learn how to kill it on socials all by yourself!

We also still offer ✨content creation services✨. Reach out to us for assistance with any lifestyle, product, hospitality, or outdoor shoots you might need done.

We love it when we get to mix business with pleasure! Here are a few images from a shoot we did for in the Karoo recently 🌵🧡

10/10 would recommend staying here if you ever get the chance. We get why they are called Uitsig Cottages - the Hoeko Valley provides incredible views and made golden hour a feast for the eye. We were even blessed with a Karoo thunderstorm on our last night!

As Van Der Media continues to grow, we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic & quick-learning individual to join our team who has a strong understanding of social media platforms and trends.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating & managing content across the client’s social media channels, designing graphics, and assisting us with developing exciting strategies to grow our clients’ audience & overall reach on social media.

Job requirements:
✨ Knowledge within the social media space
✨ A keen eye for aesthetics
✨ A love & knack for writing
✨ Strong interpersonal skills
✨ Growth mindset
✨ Time management skills
✨ Flexible working hours - will be determined
✨ Own laptop
✨ Fast internet connection

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about social media and wants to gain hands-on experience in social media account management and learn more about what it takes to effectively run a social media business.

This is a 3-month paid internship. The salary range is between R3000 - R5000 per month, depending on experience.

Some of our favourite shots from the recent Museum Wines campaign we did. Museum Wines is a specialist wine retailer and one of the largest importers of hard-to-find-internationally-acclaimed South African wines in the UK.

They wanted to tell more of the South African winemakers' stories & so we assisted them with filming a 5-week video campaign, as well as supplied them with high-res images of the shoots. Lastly, we developed and implemented a roll-out plan for the campaign, which entailed managing the post-scheduling & paid media ads.

We loved capturing the spirit our South African winemakers, meeting new people, and learning more about the wine industry! 🍷🇿🇦

We can’t believe it’s been 6 months of Van Der Media! What a crazy, exciting, beautiful journey it’s been so far. THANK YOU to every one of you who supported our business and trusted us to help grow your brand.

We have been so fortunate to work with an unbelievable spectrum of people and industries, and we’ve learned something new & valuable from each of our clients.

We can’t wait to see what next year holds. But for now, it is time to spend quality time with our families and to recharge for next year.

(We will of course still be available online because we work in social media, but you get what we mean 😆).

Content work done for 🍋

We assisted respected South African winemaker, Ian Naudé, by capturing professional photos of his latest old vine creation, Soutbos.

We also helped him develop a social media strategy leading up to the release, designed social media graphics, edited videos, and scheduled the content for his pages.

All in all, a lovely project and hopefully only the beginning of assisting the South African wine industry 🍇

Soutbos is delicious, by the way! Would highly recommend buying a few bottles for the upcoming festive season.

CONTENT CREATION FOR .co.za 🇿🇦🍑

We created photographic & video content for the active underwear brand Onni.

Shooting underwear was a first for us and honestly, not the easiest task! 😅 But we were up for the challenge 🫡 We wanted to create lifestyle content for them that is realistic and tasteful, depicting the everyday active man. We are stoked with how it came out!

Also, a big thank you to our model! 😉 Getting up before sunrise and jumping into the Saunders' Rock tidal pool in the middle of winter is no small feat!
