Every level of growth asks for something.
More visibility may ask you to tolerate more judgement.
Higher prices may ask you to hear more no's.
A bigger audience may require more consistency.
A more scalable business may require letting go of work only you know how to do.
More revenue may require better systems, better boundaries and better decisions.
Growth has a price.
The useful question is whether you are choosing the price consciously.
Try an UPGRADE AUDIT:
WHAT DO I WANT MORE OF?
Revenue? Time? Reach? Stability? Freedom? Impact?
WHAT WILL THAT REQUIRE?
Skills? Visibility? Delegation? Systems? Investment? Saying no?
WHAT WILL I HAVE TO STOP DOING?
Every upgrade also has an opportunity cost.
WHAT AM I WILLING TO PAY?
Time, attention, discomfort and money are all resources.
WHAT AM I NOT WILLING TO SACRIFICE?
Health? Family time? Creative control? Flexibility? Values?
Growth is not automatically good simply because it is bigger.
The best upgrade is the one that moves you toward the business and life you actually want.
