The official list of the names of members of parliament serve on the Impeachment Committee that will investigate claims of improper conduct by President Ramaphosa has been made public. The committee will investigate if the President did anything unlawful with regards to the theft of money from his Phala Phala farm.

The GOOD and PAC will not be participating as they are already represented by their other GNU partners.

⚠️ According to this flyer circulating on Whatsapp groups tomorrow, Wednesday 20 May there will be a Shutdown Across Heidelberg Ext 23 , Vaal Dam Road and Ratanda.
All schools, roads will apparently be closed.

Gezane Eric Kobane, popularly known as Papa Penny, has resigned from Mkhonto weSizwe Party with immediate effect.

The popular musician turned politician has attributed his resignation to the 'vilification and belittling' he received from within party ranks. Papa Penny says he has faced attacks, humiliation and insults from some party's provincial leadership in Limpopo.

He ended his resignation letter by thanking MK Party leader Jacob Zuma for the opportunity to serve the MK in Parliament.

Vaal Dam Road Reopened After Shalimar Flats Protest

RATANDA TIMES NEWS DESK

Vaal Dam Road in Heidelberg Gauteng, is currently being cleared by Municipality and Fire Brigade staff after this morning's protests outside Shalimar Ridge Flats. Residents burnt tyres and blocked all the roads surrounding the flats after their electricity was disconnected by the municipality yesterday.

Residents say that they wanted the Mayor to come and address them but neither the Mayor nor any Municipality representatives came to speak to them.
