RE: APOLOGY AND NOTICE REGARDING WHATSAPP SCAM INCIDENT
Emalahleni, Mpumalanga – Bosema Communication (Pty) Ltd and its Director, Ms. Felicia Lenonyane, wish to formally notify the public, clients, stakeholders, business partners, colleagues, friends, and family members of an unfortunate security incident that resulted in unauthorized access to Ms. Lenonyane's WhatsApp account.
On 23 May 2026, Ms. Lenonyane's mobile phone was stolen. Following this incident, unauthorized individuals gained access to her WhatsApp account and proceeded to impersonate her identity. During this period, fraudulent messages were sent to various contacts requesting money and financial assistance under false pretenses.
We wish to place on record that neither Ms. Felicia Lenonyane nor Bosema Communication (Pty) Ltd authorized any requests for money, loans, financial assistance, or banking transactions communicated through the compromised account.
As victims of this criminal act, we deeply regret any inconvenience, distress, confusion, reputational damage, or financial loss that may have been experienced by those who received or responded to these fraudulent communications.
Bosema Communication has taken steps to secure its communication platforms and prevent further unauthorized access. We remain committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients, partners, and the broader community.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who may have been affected by this incident and thank our stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and continued support during this challenging period.
