Pinterest just released its top colour trends for 2026.

what makes these interesting isn’t just the colours themselves- it’s the intent behind them.

these are shades people are already searching for across fashion, beauty, interiors and branding. which means they’re not random. they’re directional. they tell us something about where visual culture is heading and how people want to feel.

- plum noir: deep, rich, quietly sophisticated (my personal favourite)
- wasabi: bold, energetic, best used as an accent
- cool blue: clean, icy, minimal
- persimmon: bright, optimistic, attention-grabbing
- jade pastel green: grounded, calm, quietly premium

what i notice here is a balance.

on one side: cooler, softer tones that signal trust, clarity and calm.
on the other: richer, more expressive colours that bring confidence, depth and memorability.

i see these as signals. emotional shifts. a reflection of what people are gravitating toward visually right now.

and because these insights are backed by real user behaviour on Pinterest, they’re worth paying attention to, especially if you’re thinking about branding, campaigns or content for 2026.

curious: which one speaks to you right now, and why?

1/3 - Selah Films

When I met Enicia (.0) a few weeks ago, she had a clear vision for Selah Films, she knew exactly what she wanted, which made the creative process effortless.

Together, we built a brand that’s cinematic, timeless, and intentional. The logo system includes a primary & secondary logos, a brandmark, submark, and monogram, each crafted for flexibility across digital and print. A little detail I love: the “F” in the monogram features a ribbon-like flourish, a subtle nod to weddings and the stories Selah Films captures so beautifully.

We wanted the brand to visually reflect quiet luxury, editorial storytelling, and a cinematic pause - a space where moments can be felt, not rushed. Through careful colour selection, typography, and a flexible logo system, we were able to bring Enicia’s vision to life, creating a brand that’s as intentional and elegant as the stories she films.

2/3 - Selah Films | Colour & Mood

Colour is never just about aesthetics.

For Selah Films, it’s about emotion.

We chose a palette that speaks to feeling:
- Burgundy & deep merlot for depth, devotion, and cinematic warmth.
- Olive green for grounded elegance and maturity.
- Soft golds & warm creams to bring light, softness, and quiet luxury.

Together, these colours create a space that feels intentional, editorial, and timeless, because when a brand is meant to hold memories, its palette must know how to hold emotion.

1. Burgundies + Creams
These are your luxury markers. Deep wines paired with soft neutrals evoke calm, heritage, and refined romance- editorial and timeless, just like the stories Selah Films captures.

2. Greens
Muted, natural, and grounding. The greens stop the palette from feeling overly sweet or ornamental, adding subtle depth. Paired with burgundy and gold, they create that old-money elegance (think garden estates, heritage weddings, and soft vintage film tones.)

3. Gold
Muted and classic, not flashy. It brings quiet luxury and ties the palette together, enhancing warmth and sophistication, exactly the understated opulence the brand needed.

The palette + pairings embody old money, timeless, warm, cinematic, and elegant. Every contrast, every combination, is usable in real-world applications, especially for a wedding and film brand that thrives on nuance and care.

White isn’t boring.
You just don’t know how to use it.

Pantone has announced Cloud Dancer as the Colour of the Year for 2026.

At first glance, it feels almost… plain.
A soft, warm white. Nothing loud. Nothing dramatic.

And that’s exactly the point.

After years of overstimulation - high contrast, hyper-saturated visuals, constant noise, brands and audiences alike are tired.
Cloud Dancer isn’t about standing out.
It’s about creating space.

This shade sits between white and warmth.
It carries calm without feeling sterile.
Confidence without performance.

Cue the usual reactions:
“Isn’t that just white?”
“Where’s the excitement?”

But off-whites outperform pure white in modern design, strategically.

They carry subtle emotion.
They ground bold palettes instead of competing with them.
They work everywhere: branding, UI, interiors, typography, even how we show up personally.

From a colour psychology lens, Cloud Dancer signals:
• clarity
• serenity
• restraint
• a fresh start

In a world that’s constantly asking for more, this colour does the opposite.
It slows the mind.
It invites trust.
It allows ideas to breathe.

White isn’t empty.
It’s intentional restraint.

And Pantone’s choice tells us something important about 2026:

Clarity is becoming a competitive advantage.

Sometimes good colour doesn’t shout.
It whispers, with confidence.
