Hi, My name is Elaine, the heart and hands behind Suikersoet Koekies.

I’m a fully qualified Beauty Therapist who became a baker and, most importantly, a passionate Royal Icing Cookie Decorator.

My journey began in 2010, after my first daughter was born with Down syndrome. She needed my full-time care, which meant I had to find a way to work from home while being there for her.

I’ve always loved being creative and have a natural eye for fine detail. With patience, dedication and lots of love, I discovered the art of decorated cookies. What started out of necessity soon became a passion, and eventually grew into Suikersoet Koekies.

Today, 16 years later, I bake and decorate personalised cookies for weddings, baby showers, birthdays and all kinds of special occasions.

Every cookie is made by me with passion, creativity and lots of love. For me, it’s about more than just beautiful cookies. It’s about being part of someone’s special moment and turning it into a sweet, edible memory.

My goal is simple: to make your special moments even sweeter and truly unforgettable.

I’m incredibly grateful that something which started around my kitchen table all those years ago has allowed me to care for my family, serve my local community and do something I genuinely love every day. Elaine Thomas

My name is Royandie Swart, I matriculated at Highschool Lydenburg, studied Consumer Science at TUKS, married my highschool love and have three beautiful kids.

I have always had a tremendous love for our town, its old buildings and the absolute potential that it has. Imbali Garden & Lifestyle Centre, Imbali Pets and Bloom Café came because I saw the potential it had.

Since taking over Imabli I have implemented a lot of changes and upgrades. We work hard to offer a wide range of products, at good quality and conveniently available locally. We are also proud to say that at Imbali it is mostly ladies who make the wheel turn! Our biggest goal is to offer a peaceful, beautiful experience, where even if you don’t buy anything, you can come to unwind and leave a little lighter and happier.

My name is Anke, and I am the owner, photographer, editor, admin lady, content creator….of Fynbos Fotografie/Photography.

What started in December 2019 with a love for picking up our family's camera has grown into a business that is deeply rooted in connection, authenticity, and preserving life's most meaningful moments. (Which I still often think how is it a business?!)

I believe photography should be accessible because everyone deserves memories they can treasure for a lifetime. My goal is for every client to feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves, leaving not only with beautiful photographs, but with memories of a joyful experience, and the kiddies with a sweetie or three for big smiles.

Alongside photography, I am completing my final year of Occupational Therapy, a journey that has reinforced my love for people and families.
