What a beautiful way to celebrate Women’s Month! 🥂✨

My mother in law and I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest of Investec for a very special morning at Milk & Honey Kitchen, where we enjoyed a fun and delicious cooking experience with the one and only Lazy Makoti herself! 👩🏽‍🍳📚

From the champagne and incredible food to the hands-on cooking lesson and our very own cookbook, every detail was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. 🍾✨

We laughed, cooked, ate and honestly had such a ball!

More than anything, it was so lovely to feel genuinely valued and celebrated by our bank.

Thank you, Investec, for making us feel truly appreciated and for creating such a memorable experience. 🤍🦓

And Milk & Honey Kitchen… what a stunning venue! The attention to detail, atmosphere and overall experience were simply beautiful. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for something a little different and special for a celebration, party or event!

⚠️ Buyer Beware

I’m sharing this to make others aware of my personal experience.

I ordered 2 bras from Maison Belle Maison Belle despite having concerns from the beginning. I even contacted them beforehand and was repeatedly reassured that my order was legitimate and on its way.

My parcel arrived…

Instead of the bras I paid for, I received a pair of R11.99 PEP socks.

I’ve contacted the company and requested that they either send the products I ordered or issue a full refund.

If you’re considering ordering from this website, please do your own research first and proceed with caution.

If you’ve had a similar experience, I’d appreciate hearing from you. The more information consumers share, the better we can protect one another.

Today, my mom would have been 65.

She was the kind of person you couldn’t miss in a room. Her laugh was loud and contagious, she danced like nobody was watching, and she had a mischievous streak that made life fun. She lived fully, loved deeply, and celebrated every achievement of mine, whether it was something small or something big. To her, every milestone mattered because I mattered.

I miss the phone calls. I miss hearing your voice. I miss arriving for a visit and having you put the kettle on to make me tea. I miss the way you could cook up a storm and bring everyone together around a table filled with love.

Mother’s Day is always bittersweet for me. It is one of the best days because I am blessed to be a mother myself, a privilege I never take for granted. But it is also one of the hardest days because it reminds me of how much I miss being your daughter.

People often say time heals. In some ways, it softens the sharp edges. But the truth is, the loss never really goes away. You simply learn to carry it.

I can still hear her voice. I can still picture her smile and her laughter. But one of the hardest things is realizing that I can no longer remember her scent the way I once could. Somehow, that feels like losing a tiny piece of her all over again.

There are some losses that words simply cannot explain. Losing my mom is one of them. The ache never completely goes away. It changes shape over the years, but it remains.

Happy Heavenly 65th Birthday, Mamma.

I miss you more than words could ever express. Thank you for every cup of tea, every meal made with love, every encouraging word, every cheer from the sidelines, and every moment you made me feel cherished.
