HOME AFFAIRS DECLINES TO REVEAL MPs’ DUAL CITIZENSHIP STATUS

Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber has declined to reveal how many Members of Parliament hold dual citizenship or became South African citizens through naturalisation.

The information was requested by African Transformation Movement leader Vuyo Zungula, who asked the Department of Home Affairs to disclose how many MPs either hold citizenship of another country or were not born in South Africa.

In its response, the department said it was unable to provide the information.

The matter has since sparked debate around transparency and accountability, with some questioning whether the citizenship status of elected public representatives should be made public.

The remains of the missing 59-year-old Komatipoort businessman have been found.

The Police had to shoot one of the gigantic crocodiles in the Komati River, and when it was opened up, some body parts were found.

The businessman went missing during the course of the week after his vehicle was swept away by water at Komati River in Mpumalanga.

The identity of the businessman has been withheld for the time being.

It also said 6 different shoes were found inside the Croc 🐊 🤯

Former Minister of Police Bheki Cele is set to appear before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee on 23 and 24 October 2025.
