A Saturday well spent... 👠🛍️✨

Behind every great wardrobe is thoughtful planning—not just buying more clothes.

This weekend included:
✔️ Shopping with my sister to find the perfect outfit for her upcoming work trip to Pretoria.
✔️ Returning a few online shopping purchases that simply didn't meet expectations (because not every online order is a winner!).
✔️ Stepping out in one of my favourite outfit combinations that proves classic pieces never go out of style.

Outfit of the day:

Grey cropped denim, a crisp white shirt, a red, black and white tie, a checked blazer, pointed black boots and a statement brooch for that polished finishing touch.

One of the biggest styling lessons I share with my clients is this: shop with intention, not impulse. Every piece in your wardrobe should work hard for you, suit your lifestyle and make you feel confident.

One outfit. Two completely different messages.

One of the biggest misconceptions about style is that creating new outfits means buying more clothes.

The truth is often much simpler.

In this carousel, the foundation of the outfit stays the same. The trousers, knit, shirt and shoes don't change. The only piece that changes is the coat.

💙 The navy coat communicates professionalism, calm confidence and timeless elegance.

❤️ The red coat feels bold, energetic and makes a stronger style statement.

Neither look is "better". They simply communicate something different.

This is why I encourage my clients to think beyond individual garments and start asking a different question:

"What message do I want my outfit to communicate today?"

When you begin building a wardrobe with intention, you'll discover that you don't necessarily need more clothes—you need pieces that work together and give you options.

Sometimes, one well-chosen coat can create five completely different outfits.

Confession… I don't wash my jeans after every wear—and you probably shouldn't either. 👖

Quality denim is designed to be worn.

Unless your jeans are dirty or have absorbed odours, washing them too frequently can cause unnecessary fading, weaken the fibres and shorten their lifespan.

Instead, focus on caring for them well:

✔ Wash only when needed.

✔ Turn them inside out.

✔ Wash in cold water.

✔ Skip the tumble dryer whenever possible.

Small habits like these help your wardrobe last longer and keep your favourite pieces looking their best.

After all, great style isn't just about buying beautiful clothes—it's about looking after them.

⏰️Do you know what saves me the most time during the week?

It isn't owning a bigger wardrobe.

🕚It's taking 10 minutes to plan ahead.

Every Sunday evening, I quickly look at my diary, check the week's weather forecast, and think about what each day requires. From there, I choose a few key pieces that work together and prepare each outfit the evening before.

It means I spend less time wondering what to wear and more time focusing on what really matters.

Remember, getting dressed should support your day—not become another decision you have to make.

✨ My challenge for you this week: try planning just three outfits in advance and see how much calmer your mornings feel.
