π¨πΎβπ©πΎβπ§πΎ FAMILY β€οΈπ¨π©
For the past four years, Iβve had the privilege of collaborating with my sister Centich Toko π€πΎ on matters of Congolese consciousness π¨π©, culture π, and social development π‘. Iβve long admired her passion for the Congo As World as Her Artβ€οΈππ and for Africa as a whole πβ¨, so finding ourselves in the same space and having the opportunity to work together on such an auspicious occasion was truly special ππΎ.
With the Democratic Republic of Congo π¨π© qualifying for the FIFA World Cup β½π for the first time in 52 years π, we knew this was a moment worth celebrating π. We combined our ideas π, creativity π¨, and shared vision ποΈ, and with the support of many talented people ππΎ and fellow creators Tshidiso Mothusi Josh Bugattiπͺ¬ Renaldo Cortez π₯ποΈπΈ, we were able to bring that vision to life β¨.
Like most families π¨πΎβπ©πΎβπ§πΎβ€οΈ, our journey has not been perfect. My sister Centich Toko and I are both people of strong convictions πͺπΎ, and we know what we want π―. We donβt always agree on everything π€·πΎββοΈπ€·πΎββοΈ, but what we have shown the Congolese community π¨π© is that family comes first β€οΈ and that differences can be put aside for a greater purpose π€πΎβ¨.
I am incredibly proud π of this project π¬ and deeply grateful ππΎ to everyone who played a role in making it happen. Thank you to every creator π₯, supporter ππΎ, collaborator π€πΎ, and believer π who helped turn this vision into reality β¨.
Now the journey continues π. See you on Wednesday π
as we come together to celebrate π and support Congo π¨π© in our World Cup opener against Portugal π΅πΉβ½π₯.
