This series reimagines South African football stars through the visual language of traditional vintage woodcut engraving, postage stamps and heritage printmaking. Inspired by the way sporting heroes become national icons, each portrait was crafted using AI to emulate the intricate linework, stippling, cross-hatching and ornamental detail of historic intaglio and steel engravings.

The result is a collection of timeless commemorative artworks that celebrate both the players and the rich visual heritage of South Africa.

On the eve of yet another Soccer World Cup, I'm reminded of this awesome campaign my partner, Stellio and I did for Ford. In 2009, as South Africa prepared to welcome the world for FIFA World Cup 2010™, millions of ordinary South Africans were preparing for something equally important: opportunity.

From street vendors and small business owners to builders and contractors, the Ford Motor Company's Bantam became a symbol of progress, hard work and ambition.

This campaign celebrated the people behind the wheel.
The dreamers. The doers. The builders.

Because while stadiums may have hosted the World Cup, it was small business that helped build the nation.
And few vehicles were more a part of that story than the Ford Bantam.

Everyone’s posting their and moments.

Here’s mine.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of designing logos that made their way into South African culture, boardrooms, packaging, campaigns, products and people’s everyday lives.

Some for global brands.
Some for challenger brands.
Some that became part of bigger platforms people still recognise years later.

From telecoms to banking, FMCG to purpose-led initiatives, identity design has always fascinated me.

Because a logo is never just a mark.
It’s strategy distilled.
A business ambition in symbol form.
A brand promise reduced to its purest shape.
The funny thing?
Back then, these were crafted through sketches, vectors, iterations, caffeine, and long nights - not a prompt.

Today, as an AI-first creative director, I still believe the same thing:
Tools evolve.
Taste doesn’t. Concept is still king.

A great logo still needs clarity.
Restraint.
Meaning.
And the courage to make something unmistakable.
Here’s a small slice of some marks I’ve created over the years.

Curious, which one do you remember seeing in the wild?

New week, new dragons...

Back when TV had a pulse and culture had a beat. 🎨📺 African art in full animation mode... bold, loud, and unapologetically itself. This ain't a channel change, this is a takeover. 🌍🔥

Happy Friday.

How do you show a child that last week's plastic bottle is today's bike?

That's the brand problem I've been obsessing over. Recycled material products carry extraordinary stories, but the transformation happens at a scale no camera can capture.

Exploded-view origin sequences. Nano-particle transitions. Assembly films that collapse manufacturing into 15 seconds of cinema. Concepts that used to die on whiteboards because production couldn't keep up with the idea.
ImagineArt's SeeDance 2.0 changed that. The cinematic control is unlike anything I've worked with and the vision survived from concept to output, every single time.

If your brand has a story conventional production can't tell, let's talk.

Thank you for building something worthy of big ideas. 🎬✨

She didn't teach her to sew.
She taught her what it means to make something
with your hands that outlasts your hands.

That's not a skill transfer.
That's a wealth transfer.
Most people think legacy is what you leave behind.

It's not.

It's what you build while they're still watching.
Intentional. Generational. Wealth

The Kia Tasman. Reimagined.

The Map. Beyond.

An AI-powered concept exploration, from brief to final visual in record time.
This is what happens when creative strategy meets generative tools without compromise.

Not commissioned. Not a brief. Just a vision of what's possible.
