The new record sees Blaqbonez step outside his traditional rap-heavy sound, leaning into a more melodic, playful and dance-driven approach, while Asake adds his signature energy without taking the spotlight away from the Nigerian rapper.

Built around the infectious โ€œikebe nwayแปแป, nwayแปแปโ€ hook, โ€œIKEBE 3000โ€ arrives as part of the rollout for Blaqbonezโ€™s upcoming project Nomadinho: 4th Prime, following a busy 2026 that has already included FYP, BIG PERFORMER, and his first collaboration with Asake.

With two collaborations already in, Blaqbonez and Asake are quickly becoming a compelling Nigerian music pairing โ€” and fans may be watching the early stages of something bigger. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ”ฅ Seun Kuti & Seun Kuti and Fela's Egypt 80 Band return with โ€œDJB,โ€ a powerful new Afrobeat statement challenging the shadows of modern society.

The acclaimed Nigerian ensemble released โ€œDJBโ€ (Devil Just Busy) on September 18, marking the third single from their forthcoming album, Na Dem, due November 6, 2026. ๐ŸŽท๐ŸŒ

Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, โ€œDJBโ€ leans into a dark, hypnotic and deeply resonant Afrobeat and Afro-Folk groove, refusing the fast-paced formula of todayโ€™s short-form music culture. Instead, Seun Kuti delivers a thought-provoking meditation on the forces threatening contemporary society and the human spirit. ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Produced by Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective , with engineering by Samue Egglenton, mixing by ๐ƒ๐š๐ง ๐๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐ฒ and mastering by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis Studios in London, the record connects Seun Kuti & Egypt 80โ€™s traditional Afrobeat foundations with a contemporary, expansive production style.

โ€œDJBโ€ follows โ€œNa Demโ€ featuring Tom Morello and โ€œProblemsโ€ featuring Kabaka Pyramid , offering another glimpse into the ambitious sound of Na Dem. The release also follows Seun Kutiโ€™s critically acclaimed 2024 album Heavier Yet (Lay The Crownless Head), which featured Damian Marley, Sampa the Great, Posdnuos, Adi Oasis, Kamasi Washington and Alborosie, alongside production from Lenny Kravitz. ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŽถ

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 are also continuing their international world tour, which launched in Barcelona ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ on May 7 and includes dates across the Philippines ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ, Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ, New Zealand ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ and the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ.

The tour includes major headline performances at The Regent Theatre in Los Angeles ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on October 9 for My Life in Movement, followed by Webster Hall in New York ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ on October 14.

๐ŸŽท โ€œDJBโ€ is out now.
๐Ÿ’ฟ Na Dem arrives November 6, 2026.
