I was scrolling through old pictures from 3 years ago and came across these snaps from my early days of freelancing. When I left my agency job and began freelancing full-time I was heavily pregnant with my 3rd baby and he was born 3 months later.

It's been tough as a mom and freelancer to not compare myself to others and think I could be doing more - why do I compare myself to 20-somethings who don't have kids and think that I can keep up!?

In the past I've had to prioritize client work over my own business stuff, like social media and my own website (still in progress, ugh) because I literally had no time for it, i was juggling a lot.

Now that the babies have grown and go to school, i have a lot more flexibility, so I'm really going to make an effort to find a better balance this year between crafting my brand and giving it attention, too.

What's included in my branding packages? Well, it definitely depends on what option you decide to go with and what your requirements are, but here is a baseline of what we work on in the branding process: first there's brand strategy & concepts, then there's the main logo, a variation of the main logo, a submark and a pattern or design element. From there we rollout your brand to a full brand guide as well as any other elements you've chosen (business cards, social media templates, etc.)

I don't believe that a logo alone is a complete brand, so this is why we include so much and spend so much time crafting your FULL branding suite.

Hello! I'm walking back into the office today with a pep in my step. I'm feeling so refreshed and excited to get stuck into work after our time away. We soaked up the remnants of summer here in South Africa and enjoyed lots of family time.

Let's just say that inspiration really struck while I was away, I kinda wished I had my computer with me to keep working, but it was totally the right call to just disconnect completely for a week.

It's easy to feel despondent as a business owner. Sometimes growth doesn't happen overnight and sometimes it doesn't seem like it's happening at all. Last year I worked on a logo for a blogger & friend.

I love how it combines soft and traditional to create a really simple, timeless brand.
