Her mom said this before the shoot...

"She’s very shy"

Swipe to meet the girl who surprised everyone and left us wondering which version is more real.

She looked absolutely beautiful and wore her elegant white suit, gold accessories and modern, confident style.

Remember, your matric dance or special moments deserve more than random phone pictures.

This photoshoot almost ended before it even started.

She wanted this photoshoot to be amazing but being in front of the camera made her feel uncomfortable because she didn't want to look awkward when she was posing .

The truth is, you don't need to know how to pose. That's my job.

So with some guidance and some little adjustments she stopped thinking about her fears and started gaining more confidence .

That’s why I don’t just take pictures. I want you to step in front of my camera and leave feeling a little more confident than when you arrived.

So please don't wait for a special occasion to book your photoshoot.

If you feel beautiful today, that is reason enough.

The Modern Makoti📸

Can a woman honor tradition without losing herself?

I believe every woman can carry tradition with grace while expressing herself with confidence. You don't have to conform to rules that belonged to another era. Many traditional beliefs especially African traditions don't fit modern life and were often used to suppress women.

So we encourage you to be a woman who knows her worth, embraces her femininity, and isn't afraid to be seen.

Being a modern makoti doesn't mean choosing between culture and confidence. It means making space for both.

During this outdoor photoshoot session in Pretoria ( Union Buildings )we captured a woman standing proudly in her identity, rooted in tradition, yet completely herself.

Book your portrait session in Pretoria with the best portrait and lifestyle photographer and let’s create images that reflect who you are not just how you look, but what you represent.

Moments between thoughts📸

Do you know that a woman can be joyful, thoughtful, peaceful, ambitious, uncertain and strong sometimes all in the same day. This is a phenomenon called “perfection bias,” where women are expected to meet multiple standards all at once. She has to be successful, attractive, kind, confident, calm and never appear overwhelmed which can be overwhelming and stressful.

This photoshoot celebrates the emotions beyond expectations ,the smile, the silence, the thoughts and the calm.

Only natural light was used during this shoot, with a 50 mm lens which is my go to lens for portrait photography.

Small Square, Big History

Did you know,Church Square, located in the heart of Pretoria South Africa, dates back to the 1850s and remains a focal point for public life and heritage as shown in its monuments and historic buildings around the square. In just one square you will see layers of South African history from colonial architecture to civic monuments.
