BUCO Success Story: Driving 8,300+ Incremental Store Visits with Omnichannel Strategy
This is the official submission video for the BUCO Assegai Awards Campaign, detailing how Algorithm successfully moved shoppers from their screens to the stores during the competitive peak DIY winter season.
The Challenge: BUCO, operating in a crowded hardware market, needed a strategy to stand out, build mental availability, and drive measurable foot traffic into their physical stores from their digital campaigns.
The Solution: We pivoted from a bottom-funnel, sales-driven approach to an Awareness-led Omnichannel Strategy designed to spark DIY intent and drive immediate store visits. This involved creating a connected three-channel ecosystem:
YouTube Shorts: Capturing high attention in relevant DIY moments.
Open Web: Reinforcing the message alongside matching articles (Contextual Targeting).
Blis (Location-Based Tech): Targeting shoppers near BUCO stores to close the loop on footfall.
Key Campaign Results:
Over 8,300 Incremental Store Visits driven by the campaign.
318% Uplift in Store Visits (April – May).
High Engagement: Achieving up to 76% Video Completion Rate (VCR) on the Open Web.
Proof of Concept: Validating that inspiration online can lead directly to in-store results using location-based measurement.
