Today is one of South Africa's lighter public holidays. We celebrate all of our amazing and special cultures, from the micro cultures in our families, friend groups and colleagues to our larger heritage that shapes us, and as Archbishop Desmond Tutu says the way that regardless of our origin we all love to gather around a braai (note for non-South African's a braai is a barbecue and rhymes with 'fry').
I hope that you had a wonderful day celebrating those that came before you and shaped you.
