I honestly thought taking up design at the age of 35 was ludicrous!

But I'm thankful everyday for making that decision. I have a healthy balance of left and right brain opportunities every single day.

Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something because you are too old, or too young, or not smart enough. Do what your soul is calling you to do.
