🎻 Meet the Musicians: Matthias Remley-Ender! 🎶
As we count down to "Cello on the West Coast" on June 27th, the Darling Music Experience is thrilled to introduce the incredible artists behind I' Bricconcelli—starting with the brilliant cellist, Matthias Remley-Ender!
Matthias’s musical journey is nothing short of fascinating. A true free spirit, he spent many years practicing as a medical doctor in Vienna before making the decision to follow his deepest passion and put the cello permanently at the center of his life.
Having started his musical training at the age of eight in Austria, his career has taken him across Europe and South Africa. Today, he is a permanent member of the prestigious Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and a highly sought-after chamber musician.
While traditionally trained, Matthias’s heart beats passionately for early music and historically informed performance practice. On 27 June, you will get to see his versatility firsthand as he and Hans Huyssen switch between traditional and period Baroque cellos right before your eyes! From the precision of J.S. Bach to the contemporary vibe of Sting, Matthias brings a playful, brilliant energy to the stage that you won't want to miss.
