Understanding market dynamics is important...things that gives you abnormal profits requires little capital, instead of doing a big hectarage of maize, plant groudnuts, they require zero to few capital to do hectarage , right now a bag of chalimbana groudnuts shelled one is going almost 1200 in kasumbalesa, it's 80k per meda..while maize will be regulated and won't go behold 200k per 50kg..think smart, do a market research before planting happy farming season

The Trickle down effect of side hustle business
So Coco is a teacher by profession and gets a so much salary every month, this money is meant for consumption only, due to covid he decides to engage himself into tomatoe farming, so land preparation and wood poles ,he engages the local people and pays them so much for their services , in return he employs two people to help him, he buys chemicals from the agro dealers , he invites local people to help him with weeding and maintenance, these local people have more disposable income, they buy salt, cooking oil and washing powder at the local shops, the shop owners enjoy an increase in sales..
To the people in power ,what I have narrated is something that is happening in our community, I have seen serious economic activities from the few of people who have engaged themselves in some economic activities...it's not everyone who can be enterprenuers but come up with policies that promote enterprenuership among local people ...
Production is in full force..

It's exactly 8 days which is one week plus a day..
So it's important as a farmer to closely monitor what is happening to the plants as they begin to adapt to the new environment..
So far the progress is splendid..
Dear would be tomato farmers , please avoid getting recycled seeds but buy seedlings from a certified dealers..in Lusaka you can get them from sunshine,Amiran and mayo farms..
Recycled seeds are not good as the yield is not good..it's below par plus they are not resistant to various diseases ,they are easily affected..

Today's activity..
It's exactly 4 days after transplanting, so application of basal fertilizer begins.. that's D compound from Ammonia and spraying schedule begins.. metalaxy and easy grow starter or voema begins..have a lovely weekend..the next big tomatoe farmer..

The tragedy of the last one hundred years is that Zambians have been deluded into believing, contrary to all common sense and history,that they are not capable of running their own country successfully, without either foreign help or a paternalistic government. The lack of national self confidence resulting from the delusion of incapacity has led to national decline and an unhealthy dependency on what is seen as foreign largesse. That largesse of course comes at a price,increasing Zambia's dependency,and making it harder for the country to control its destiny,fight poverty and prosper.The most painful part is that these so called our leaders are in forefront singing the song of investors.. If we the Zambian people don't take the charge to develop our country no one will...

Let's talk about the role of Youths in Zambia and how our definition of greatness plays a key role in its existence.
1. Understand that greatness means partnership building with thousands of young Zambian. It could be two people partnering for betterment of the community.
2. Realize that greatness means lighting more fires and not being afraid that those fires may burn brighter than yours. It is me encouraging you to keep pushing and following your dreams not because I'm perfect but because as humans we have our down moments. It is also you supporting me to keep me moving, reminding me that impossible is nothing. Let us refrain from this culture of pull him down,we will never grow as a community if we don't support each other, look at how the Indians and Arabs support each other here in Zambia, that's the spirit we have to cultivate as a community and as the nation at large.
3. Believe firmly that greatness means growing together. Sharing opportunities with one another. In fact creating our own opportunities that can help us build our capacity.Enough with these cheap Chinese who exploiting our communities.. we need to regulate what kind of investor's we need not just any Chinese that comes to deal in businesses that are suppose to be for Zambians...

The moment of reflection is now,we have lost our loved one's and our powerful comrade's because of this deadly disease called HIV. Zambia alone is one of the most affected and a good number of our fellow country Men and Women are infected with this deadly disease,If you are not infected then you are affected..But the question is what are we doing to help stop the spread of HIV and how can we help our comrade's who are HIV positive, Just last month again it came to light that the ministry of Health bought fake ARV's and hence subjecting our people to more Health risk..Let us stand up and join hands,instead of Discriminating our friends let's be the brother's keep..
This is the time when we have to seat and ask ourselves is the approach towards combating HIV yielding positive results if not then let's change the approach..
We have sodashi formula that has proved to be a bit successful as the country why can't we start clinic trials,mind you sodashi formula is a herbal formula which has minimal or No negative effect on the person,we can Zambians something...May God bless Zambia.
