𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐞, seeing the country painted green by the mighty UNZA graduates could not help but make me reflect. 🎓💚

So, you have just finished university and as you prepare to go back home, reality slowly begins introducing itself.

Suddenly it dawns on you: “Apa manje ni real life.”

For years you lived in a system with timetables, lectures, assignments, classmates, and a structured routine. Even the uncertainty of unemployment somehow felt normal because you were still a student. But now the script changes.

You now begin thinking:

“What’s next?”
“Will I find a job?”
“Will my degree open the doors I imagined?”

You may already be seeing posts saying:

“Kulibe nchito.”
“Jobs are scarce.”

And while some of these realities exist, do not allow them to become your personal prophecy.

Apply for jobs. Go for interviews. Keep trying. Even when you do not get selected, every interview is building confidence, experience, and exposure.

But let me also say something many young people struggle to hear: Do not sit at home waiting only for a white-collar job.

If you have valuable skills, put them to work.

Can you write? Start writing.
Can you design? Design.
Can you bake? Bake.
Can you take pictures? Start taking pictures.
Can you teach? Teach.
Can you trade? Trade.

Do not underestimate small beginnings because many empires started as side hustles.

Sometimes we pray for opportunities while sitting on gifts and skills that God has already placed in our hands.

Bane, graduation is not the finish line.

It is simply life saying: “Now let us begin muntu wanga.”
