Everybody tells you to create value and be valuable, but nobody tells you how value is created.

Get it from me.

Value is created when pain is alleviated, and pain is alleviated when problems are solved.

In other words:

Money is made when value is created, and value is created when pain is alleviated, and pain is alleviated when problems are solved.

If a company is facing a lot of tax and accounting problems, and you are the expert who can solve those problems, you will be paid for alleviating the pain attached to those problems.

A company lacking sales is a problem.

So, solve enough problems that alleviate people's pain, hence creating value and making money.

Say it 10X:

Money is made when value is created, and value is created when pain is alleviated, and pain is alleviated when problems are solved.

Story time...

For the past few weeks, my business partner Maurice and I have been working the hardest.

Currently, we are in two different locations for some reasons, but we spend most of our time together, just like married partners do.

This reminds me: business partnership is like marriage.

Lately, we've been laughing about work, the deals we are working on, the people we've contracted, and how the future of our company looks.

Today, I was thinking and contemplating, and it was so amazing to realize that my business partner is the one person I talk to the most.

I'm on calls with him, in meetings with him, every minute and every hour. It's almost like we are married.

What's the lesson from this?

If you're building a business with a partner, choose someone you can communicate with consistently, solve problems with, laugh with, and dream with. Businesses are not only built on ideas—they are built on relationships, trust, and shared vision.
