SPECIAL VISIT TO NAKOWA SECONDARY SCHOOL
On Tuesday, 9th June 2026, Nakowa Secondary School was privileged to host the Bishop of the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church, Rev. Siachitema Juden, and the Education Secretary, Dr. Munakasaka Chikuba.
The Bishop encouraged teachers and pupils to remain committed to hard work and excellence, assuring them of the Church's continued support. Reflecting on his time as a learner at Nakowa from Grade 1 to Grade 9, he expressed his desire to see the school produce more outstanding citizens. He also offered a prayer dedicating the school to God's guidance and protection.
Dr. Chikuba emphasized the importance of hard work among teachers, administrators, and pupils. She also shared the Church's plans to transform Nakowa Secondary School into a boarding school to improve academic performance and help address challenges such as pupil pregnancies.
The visit inspired and encouraged the entire school community as it continues striving for academic excellence and Christian values.

🏗️ NAKOWA SECONDARY SCHOOL IS A CONSTRUCTION SITE! 🏗️

Progress continues at Nakowa Secondary School as rehabilitation works on the Art Lab block move forward.

The building, which was severely damaged and blown off during the rainy season, has now been successfully roofed with a completely new roof using ripped channels and has been transformed into a 1×2 classroom block.

Although the rehabilitation works are not yet fully complete, the classrooms are already being utilized by our Grade 10 learners due to the critical shortage of classroom space at the school.

This achievement has been made possible through the collective efforts of the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church and it's partners(David Atkins and friends), the local community, and the school administration, all working together towards improving the learning environment for our learners.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has contributed their time, resources, and support towards this important project. Your partnership is helping to shape a brighter future for the learners of Nakowa Secondary School.

ZIMBA, ZAMBIA — In a bid to bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical, Geography senior pupils from Nakowa Secondary School recently undertook a vital field research visit to an abattoir facility located in Dunka, within Zimba District. The educational excursion forms a core component of the students' mandatory Geography fieldwork projects, designed to provide firsthand insights into local industrial processing and agricultural supply chains.
