A CALL TO UNITY, PROGRESS, AND CONTINUED TRANSFORMATION
By Oscar Kakompe, Campaign Manager
As Zambia approaches a defining moment on 16 August, we are called not only to vote but to reflect on the journey we have taken as a nation, and the future we seek to build together. This is a moment of decision, a moment of responsibility, and above all, a moment of hope.
Under the leadership of Hakainde Hichilema, Zambia has embarked on a path of renewal restoring confidence in governance, rebuilding our economy, and placing the welfare of citizens at the heart of national development.
This is not merely about politics; it is about progress. It is about ensuring that every Zambian young or old, urban or rural has a fair opportunity to thrive in a peaceful and prosperous country.
President Hichilema’s leadership has demonstrated that change is possible when vision meets action. His administration has worked tirelessly to stabilize the economy, restore democratic values, and invest in the future of our people. These are not promises—they are measurable achievements that have already begun to transform lives across the nation.
As your Campaign Manager, I urge every Zambian to recognize the importance of continuity in leadership. Development is a process, and the gains we have made must be protected and expanded. The work has begun but it is far from finished.
On Election Day, 16 August, I call upon all citizens to come out in large numbers and cast their vote for progress, stability, and inclusive growth. A vote for President Hakainde Hichilema is a vote for a stronger, more resilient Zambia.
Let us move forward together—with unity, purpose, and determination.
Key Achievements Driving Zambia Forward

2. Free Education for All
The introduction of free education in public schools, from early childhood to secondary level, has brought millions of children back into classrooms—empowering the next generation with knowledge and opportunity.
3. Job Creation in the Public Sector
Over 40,000 teachers and health workers have been recruited, strengthening critical public services and improving access to education and healthcare nationwide.
4. Empowering Communities through CDF
The Constituency Development Fund (CDF) has been increased to over K36 million per constituency, enabling local communities to drive development projects that directly impact their lives.
5. Strong Anti-Corruption Measures
The government has reinforced the Anti-Corruption Commission, leading to the recovery of stolen assets and the prosecution of financial crimes—ensuring accountability and transparency.
6. Expansion of Democratic Freedoms
Historic reforms, including the abolition of the death penalty and repeal of the defamation of the President law, have strengthened democracy and protected citizens’ rights.
7. Restoring Law and Order
By banning political cadreism in public spaces such as markets and bus stations, the administration has restored order, safety, and respect for the rule of law.
8. Revitalizing Key Economic Sectors
Reforms in the energy and mining sectors, including improved tax policies and investments, are boosting copper and nickel production—key drivers of Zambia’s economic future.
