Saul Tore nominated for an honorary doctorate degree in leadership and governance

SAUL TORE, a well-known resident of Dzivarasekwa and the founder and CEO of Jordan Funeral Services, has been nominated for an honorary doctorate degree in Leadership and Governance by Cambridge Digital University in India.

The award ceremony is scheduled for mid-January 2026.

This recognition comes in acknowledgment of his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to supporting bereaved families through his funeral service company.

Tore has become a respected figure in Dzivarasekwa for ensuring that families are able to lay their loved ones to rest with dignity and compassion.

He currently serves as the Vice President of the Funeral Directors Association of Zimbabwe (FUDAZ), a position that further demonstrates his leadership in the funeral services sector.

He was previously selected for induction into the National Excellence Hall of Fame, a further testament to his contributions to community service and development.

Jordan Funeral Services, a registered funeral policy provider, was established in 2016.Since then, the company has grown steadily through the continued support of Dzivarasekwa residents.

It has assisted many families who could not afford funeral expenses, becoming a vital support system in times of need.

Between 2021 and 2023, the company paid school fees for more than 200 underprivileged children and helped over 100 youths obtain driver’s licences as part of efforts to curb drug abuse and empower young people.

Furthermore, Jordan Funeral Services has trained over 80 youths in Mortuary Sciences, with the programme still ongoing.

This is part of the company’s efforts to give back to the community that supported its growth.

Now operating five branches countrywide, the company continues to expand, thanks to the support and encouragement from local residents.

Looking ahead, Jordan Funeral Services plans to construct a funeral parlour in Dzivarasekwa, a project expected to significantly improve access to funeral services and support for the community.

SOUL Tore has received a prestigious honour being selected for induction into the National Excellence Hall of Fame.

Tore, a well-known resident of Dzivarasekwa and the esteemed Founder and CEO of Jordan Funeral Services, has become a celebrated figure in the community, particularly for his compassionate support to bereaved families.

Through his funeral service company, he has consistently assisted families in laying their loved ones to rest with dignity and care.

This recognition celebrates his notable contributions to the funeral services industry and his unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional care and support to families during their most difficult times. His work has set a high standard in the sector, marked by excellence, compassion, and professional integrity.

The induction ceremony will take place at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), where Tore will be honoured with; A commemorative statue, a place in the Hall of Fame’s online museum, and a symbolic golden blazer signed by distinguished professors and officials, featuring the prestigious pangolin logo.

Responding to the recognition, Tore expressed great appreciation stating:

"It is a great honour to be recognised as a leading and shining star for the second time in a row. I am truly humbled by the support I have received from the Dzivarasekwa community, which continues to be our foundation and strength. This recognition belongs to us all."

Saul Tore was born on the 26th of Sept 1978 and grew up in Dzivarasekwa, went to Gillingham Primary school, then later transferred to nhamburiko Primary school, completed O level at Dz high 1 in 94

Worked for homage funeral services then Pepro funeral services, he also worked for yamurai funeral services.

Jordan Funeral Services was formed in 2016 since then we grew thru the support of dzivarasekwa residents and assisted many families who could not bury
