Parking Lot Attendant

Responsible for parking vehicles, taking payments for vehicles already parked, and directing patrons into open spots.

English language and experience required.

Primary Responsibilities

- Perform valet duties and park vehicles in open spots.
- Take tickets from waiting patrons and park or retrieve vehicles.
- Manipulate vehicles to take advantage of all spaces.
- Collect fees from patrons wishing to park in the garage.
- Hold up signs advertising parking lot fees.
- Call tow trucks if a person is parked illegally.
- Issue tags to customers to put up in their windshields for display.
- Clean up debris from the parking lot.
- Use hand signals and lights to direct patrons into open spots.
- Check vehicles for damage.
- Ensure cameras are working properly in case an accident happens.
- Position or remove barricades to prevent parking in certain spots.
- Open doors and greet customers.
- Dispense changes if a person pays a fee to park.
- Help customers locate their vehicles.
- Resolve parking lot disputes that occur between customers.
- Es**rt customers to their vehicles if needed.
- Call for cabs or tow trucks per clients’ request.
- Help patrons exit the parking garage safely.
- Give directions to the nearest highway or destination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Tinkering with temporary installations such as piping, pumps, valves, hoses, heat exchangers, boilers, compressors, circulation and storage tanks
- Assembling and disassembling of fittings in order to make a temporary connection to our customer's installation
- Working safely, including the safety of others

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU?

- Working on fl**ge connections certificate according to the protocol (expired certificate does not have to be a problem),
- Demonstrable and relevant working experience,
- VCA-B or VCA-VOL

You are in possession of an IS-006 and a VCA certificate
You have a first experience as a rigger
You like to work in a team but you can also work independently
Taking responsibility doesn’t scare you
Willing to work in shifts, if necessary
You are flexible
In possession of own transport

Job-related competencies

• Assemble the metal structural elements on the floor
• Dismantle an existing metal structure
• Unload the materials and distribute them among the storage or assembly areas
• Demarcate and secure the site area and environment (nets, fences, fluorescent ribbons, ...)
• Lift and place metal structural elements
• Mount metal structural elements to each other or to a carrier (connection plates, ...)
