Saudi Arabia has launched airstrikes in Yemen again — but this time, the target is NOT the Houthis.
In a shocking twist, Saudi jets bombed Mukalla Port in southern Yemen, after accusing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of secretly sending weapons into Yemen.
According to Saudi Arabia:
Ships arrived at the port with military equipment
The weapons were allegedly meant for Southern separatist fighters
Saudi Arabia says this threatens its national security
This is important because:
Saudi Arabia and the UAE were once close allies in the Yemen war
Now, they appear to be turning against each other
This could split Yemen even further and change the balance of power
Meanwhile:
The Houthis still control northern Yemen
Southern Yemen wants independence
Civilians are once again caught in the middle
💥 So the big questions are:
Is Saudi Arabia sending a warning to the UAE?
Could this lead to a new regional conflict?
Will Yemen ever find peace, or is the war entering a more dangerous phase?
