Here are 5 things to do.

1. Believe in yourself and in your abilities. "Your value does not decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth."
2. Be Thankful for closed doors. Focus on what you can change. If it didn’t happen, it was never meant to be. Keep learning. Keep growing.
3. Network. Don’t just send out resumes. Try connecting with the decision makers. Let everyone know you are job searching.
4. Volunteer - not only will it help others but it will make you feel better, plus it will fill in the employment gap.

Sam had been unemployed for the past couple of months and had been seeking a suitable opportunity for what seemed like an eternity.

He took every interview call that he could, applied for every opportunity, and sought help from every connection.

Finally, things were looking up. He already had an offer in hand and the interviews with the 2nd potential employer had gone well.

Sam felt that he had taken a serious beating in terms of money. His friends who had started out with him, had gone way up the ladder.
