As we see a huge number of fake agents and agencies from modelling industry is growing on FB from day to day. They post non existing works on FB, promising very good payment and giving out their personal emails for sending your portfolios and contact details. Don't get fooled. Don't trust to all what you see. If you're asked to do "a casting" online (Skype, MSN etc) DO NOT DO IT. Your video can be recorded, sold out to different countries, pictures can be used anywhere. Some "agencies" promise an international modeling contract which you can get after finding a sponsor or sending them some amount of money. If you had given them money already in the best case "the agency" would just disappear with your money. In the worst case you would be sent a fake contract and tickets to some European country. This is human trafficking. We know names of those "agencies" but they changed the names frequently and we can't track them all until we see a new post of them. If you see any post on FB regarding modeling (fashion shows, shootings, movies and so on) and if you just have any doubt you SHOULD ask questions. Such as: agency name, office location, landline number, website, email address should contain the name of the agency (not yahoo, hotmail, gmail and so on). If the person is a freelancer and doesn't belong to any agency he/she wouldn't have all the above details. But anyway if there're any castings it would be live (not via Internet). Try to work only with a freelancer who you know and who you trust. If the post is from the photographer ask to show his previous works. Never feel shy to ask questions. Your safety worth it.
