As a young paid search agency we are hungry for high-quality PPC content. That is the reason we try to follow the respected professionals of the industry because it is so critical for our growth.
2021 is already history and now is a great time to reflect on the authors that have been helping us throughout our educational journey in Q4.
1. We would like to start with Kirk Williams because his contribution was the biggest. In his book named “Ponderings of a PPC professional” he philosophically shares approaches related to client relationships that we use daily. After reading the book we took his course about Google Smart Shopping Ads on Udemy, which adjusted our approach towards Google Shopping campaigns. We continue to read his blog, listen to his podcast (where he hosts the industry leaders), and actively follow him on LinkedIn.
2. Frederick Vallaeys in his book named “Digital marketing in an AI world” makes a great historical retrospective on how Google Ads was functioning at the beginning of the 2000s. Our main takeaway from it was that now with the development of Google machines, PPC professionals should embrace the three new roles (doctor, pilot, and teacher).
3. Digital agency business seems easy. In reality, it is easy to start one but x100 times tougher to grow and scale. Gareth Healey in his thought-provoking book “Standout or die” shares his framework that will help you grow your agency and enjoy the journey.
