The third edition of Comarp Forum was a success! 🤩🎉

Around 500 participants — including professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, and students — gathered yesterday, 11 September, at the Glória Hotel in Maputo to take part in the largest Communication, Marketing, and Public Relations event in Mozambique.

With a focus on digital transformation and the new frontiers of Communication and Marketing, the event featured two panels with renowned speakers in the fields of Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations.

Dr. Lelemba is a Zambia 🇿🇲 born award-winning transformational leader who combines on-the-ground entrepreneurial experience, investment expertise and academic rigour. She brings over 20 years of experience scaling across 10+ African markets and has invested in over 30 women-led businesses.

As an entrepreneur, she has doubled company revenues, led teams of 100+, scaled businesses across markets and built inclusive growth strategies in diverse sectors including fintech, edtech, agri and climate.

As a gender lens investor, she has deployed over $11M into innovative women-led businesses and gender-diverse teams through various funds, proving that intentional inclusion drives both commercial success and social impact.

Holding a PhD in Gender, Race and Entrepreneurial Finance, she translates rigourous research into evidence-based frameworks that guide global investors, start-ups, corporates and policymakers.

Taroonah Doolub, a respected Tax and Legal expert from Mauritius at JurisTax, shared a timely perspective on how African businesses can respond to the evolving U.S. tariff landscape.

She rightly noted that strategy is everything. As tariff pressures increase, companies must be proactive—not reactive.

Her advice is twofold:
- Explore new markets beyond traditional borders.
- Reassess your production footprint—consider shifting part of your operations to trade-friendly hubs like Mauritius, which offers strategic advantages and access to multiple markets.

African businesses need to future-proof their operations by staying agile, exploring regional opportunities, and acting decisively.
