That is "Total Recycling" of plywood plates: first Mokulito and now the woodcut using the same plate - "Polar Bear II" (woodcut on black paper, 60x70 cm). More experiments will follow, so watch the space!
Das nennt sich "Totales Recycling" von Sperrholz-Platten: zuerst der Mokulito-Druck und nun auf derselben Platte der Holzschnitt - "Polar Bear II" (Holzschnitt auf schwarzem Papier, 60x70 cm).

just in time for the imminent onset of autumn, another art therapy session with physically and mentally disadvantages youth in "Youth at Work" (Jugend am Werk) in Vienna: "Autumn Tree"! A lot of fun (on both sides) and a very nice outcome...

Gerade rechtzeitig zum bevorstehenden Herbstbeginn eine weitere Kunststherapie-Sitzung mit physisch und mental beanchteiligten Jugendlichen im "Jugend am Werk" in Wien: "Herbstbaum"! Viel Freude (auf beiden Seiten) und ein sehr schönes Ergebnis...

After a two-day scgraffiti workshop with disadvantaged youths at the "Jugend am Werk" (Youth at Work) in Vienna, a brief resume of the process: it seems to me, that the concept of covering a piece of paper with colors for later on blackening it with tusche, waiting to let it dry and then scratching a drawing into it was probably a bit too much of a challenge - at least for most (not all!). Nonetheless, some very nice pieces of artwork resulted!
Nach einem zweitägigen Scgraffiti-Workshop für benachteiligte Jugentliche in der Werd:Art von "Jugend am Werk" in Wien ein kurzer Rückblick auf den Prozess: mir scheint, dass das Konzept, ein Stück Papier einzufärben um es dann mit schwarzer Tusche zu übermalen, es trocknen zu lassen und später eine Zeichnung einzuritzen war vieleicht eine zu grosse Herausforderung - zumindest für die meisten (aber nicht alle!). Trotzdem entstanden ein paar sehr schöne Kunstwerke!

Today an even hotter day in Vienna (36-37°C) and two days art therapy work with disadvantaged people at "Youth at Work": the topic being "the many faces of werd:art", we have initially tried to draw freehand faces with oil pastels but it became obvious quite quickly that using a face template was the far better approach. Again, very rewarding and enjoyable sessions with a large number of participants, resulting in a 20 ft long paper banner! Many thanks to all participating artists as well as the supervisory personnel - it is always fun to work with you!
Heute an einem sogar noch heisseren Tag in Wien (36-37°C) und nach zwei Tagen Kunststherapie mit benachteiligten Menschen im "Jugend am werk": das Thema war diesmal "die vielen Gesichter des werd:art", wobei wir anfänglich versucht haben, mit Ölpastell und Freihand Gesichter zu zeichnen - allerdings stellte sich schnell heraus, dass die Verwendung von Gesichtsschablonen der wesentlich bessere Ansatz war. Wiederum sehr bereichernde und erfreuliche Sitzungen mit einer grossen Anzahl Teilnehmer*Innen, die letztlich ein 6 1/2 m langes Papierbanner bemalt hatten. Vielen Dank an die teilnehmenden Künstler*Innen sowie das Aufsichtspersonal - es ist immer schön, mit euch zu arbeiten!
