„Was willst du einmal werden?“
Eine Frage, die ich bis heute nicht beantworten kann.

Ich bin ja noch am Werden.

Sind wir nicht alle immer am Werden? Und wer weiß das schon mit Sicherheit?

Im Podcast ✨Perspektive Abenteuer✨ spreche ich über Identität, Brüche, Wendepunkte, Länder und Kulturen – und über die berühmten „Dots“, die sich erst rückblickend verbinden.

Über Mut, kindliche Neugier und die Höhen und Tiefen des Gründens.

Und darüber, wie es sich anfühlt, durch herausfordernde Zeiten zu navigieren, ohne zu wissen, was als Nächstes kommt.

When you start acting like one ecosystem 📣
Will the South deliver?

In Carinthia, we stopped being “many good initiatives next to each other” and started acting like one startup ecosystem. You can feel how much the whole region gains from that shift.

On 15 January, STARTUP SOUTH! took its second step at Startup Spritzer 105 in Graz – and I left with one clear thought:
if we manage to build this same level of trust and collaboration across the entire REGION SÜD, between Styria and Carinthia, then our “crazy” idea suddenly feels very real:

» 👥 connecting 1.8 million people by 2036 – a very optimistic figure, I know

» 🦄 4 mixed unicorns, part Styria, part Carinthia by 2036

Big thank you to our friends at Ideentriebwerk Graz and the City of Graz for the invitation, the warm welcome and such an energising event – you made the Graz chapter of STARTUP SOUTH! feel like the beginning of something much bigger. 💛

If you want to know what happens at UNTERNEHMA WOS. and STARTUP SOUTH! – don’t read about it. 📣 Be there next time. 📣

This post is not about what happened. It’s about what it took to get here.

In 2021, when we started Startup Carinthia, it felt like pushing uphill. A handful of people, mostly "Rückkehrer", who believed this region deserved a better vision, a better playground.

Don’t get me wrong – there were great people and great initiatives here. But the ecosystem wasn’t really connected. Everyone doing their thing, rarely together.

Fast forward four years.

On 8 January 2026 we stood in a packed Makerspace in Klagenfurt. Start-ups, entrepreneurs, movers and shakers – all in one room. People from the start-up scenes in Carinthia and Styria, from politics and business.

All united by the same thing:
⭐️ this region and its future. ⭐️

I felt incredibly proud of what we pulled off with a team made up only of volunteers.

And it hit me: this wasn’t just the result of a few intense weeks of event prep. This was four years of bringing people together.

Four years of
» staying kind and persistent when doors closed in front of us
» reaching out a hand even when we sometimes got the cold shoulder
» choosing to see the potential in the region instead of just the fails

Nights like these are when all that invisible work (from everyone in the ecosystem) suddenly shows up in the room – when you can feel that something has shifted.

Some moments are hard to put into words. This is one of them. ❤️

Every year at TEDxKlagenfurt, there's this one moment I carry with me long after the lights go out.

We call it the .

For me this year, it was that surreal walk through the airport hangar – past the experience area, into the stage hall – and suddenly realizing:

We actually pulled this off! ✨🚀

We transformed an empty airport space into a vibrant stage for bold ideas. Together.

With a team of volunteers.

With nothing but a vision, passion, and the belief that anything is possible – when people come together for a cause bigger than themselves.

✨That was my TEDxmoment this year. ✨

I’m incredibly proud to have been part of the Stage Design Team this year – and even more proud to be part of this wild, creative, driven, generous, brilliant TEDxKlagenfurt crew since 2019.

This year was extra special:

📍 For the first time ever, took place at an airport hangar at Klagenfurt Airport.

🎟️ For the first time ever, we were SOLD OUT – with almost 600 attendees.

🎤 And what a lineup we had!

❤️ A massive congratulations to our amazing speakers and performers:

Farayi Chipungu, .roa .world Caitríona McLaughlin, and his students, and Nikolas Naprtschnig.

Wie ist das eigentlich, mit der großen Schwester zusammenzuarbeiten?

Was nach einer Herausforderung klingt – ist in Wahrheit ein echter Glücksfall. ✨

Seit fast drei Jahren arbeiten wir gemeinsam an einem Herzensprojekt: – ein Zusammenschluss von 30 familiengeführten Hotels & Appartements in ganz Österreich. Gastgeber:innen, die Familien im Urlaub in den Mittelpunkt rücken – mit echter Herzlichkeit, Qualität und Persönlichkeit. 💛 Und genau das spürt man auch hinter den Kulissen:
🔒 Hier entstehen starke Kooperationen – getragen von Vertrauen, Verbindlichkeit und echtem Miteinander.
So wie bei uns Schwestern.

⭐️ Ich erlebe diese Zusammenarbeit als große Bereicherung:

• Gute Beziehungen, ob familiär oder freundschaftlich, bringen Vertrauen und ein stärkeres Wir-Gefühl, das zu einer ganz anderen Qualität in den Projekten führt – weil man sich (zu)traut, neue Wege zu gehen, weil man sich gegenseitig stärkt und weil es manchmal schlichtweg mehr Spaß macht.

❓Aber was braucht es, damit das wirklich funktioniert – auch über längere Zeit?

Für mich liegt der Schlüssel in der bewussten Kommunikation: sehr klar und offen miteinander über Erwartungen, Rollen und Verantwortlichkeiten zu sprechen – und das nicht nur zu Beginn, sondern laufend im gemeinsamen Prozess.

🫶 Was mich an family austria immer wieder berührt: Der familiäre Geist ist nicht nur ein Versprechen an Gäste – er wird auch intern gelebt.

Beim FARE-WELL-COME haben wir Marianne nach vielen Jahren Zusammenarbeit in den wohlverdienten Ruhestand verabschiedet und gleichzeitig unsere neue Kollegin Magdalena mit offenen Armen in der family austria-Familie willkommen geheißen! Danke an das großartige Team, die Mitglieder und die Kooperationspartner von family austria für die bereichernde Zusammenarbeit! ✨🫶

💪 Solche Momente zeigen, wie viel Kraft in echten Beziehungen steckt – in Familien, in Teams, in Netzwerken.

Und sie erinnern uns daran, dass Zusammenarbeit auf Augenhöhe nicht nur ist – sondern unglaublich bereichernd. Gerade wenn man seine große Schwester an der Seite hat. 😉

„Ein Kapitel geht zu Ende – und hinterlässt tiefe Spuren.“

Über zwei Jahre durfte ich die Geschäftsführungsübergabe im Hirter Braukeller der Privatbrauerei Hirt begleiten. Mit den bisherigen Geschäftsführern Cornelia Feuerstein & John Cuznar und ihren ebenso engagierten Nachfolger:innen Anna Maria Dornhofer & Philipp Kampl sind wir gemeinsam durch viele intensive Phasen gegangen:

🚀 Von Zieldefinition, Vision und Produktentwicklung über interne Kommunikation, Mitarbeiterführung, Leadership, Rollenfindung und Konfliktmanagement – bis hin zur konkreten Planung und operativen Umsetzung der Übergabe in den Jahren 2024/2025. Dieser Prozess war intensiv, fordernd – und voller persönlicher wie gemeinschaftlicher Entwicklung.

Ich bin tief dankbar für das Vertrauen, das ihr mir entgegengebracht habt. Für euren Mut, euch auf echte Veränderung einzulassen. Für eure Offenheit, Neugier – und dafür, dass ihr bereit wart, über eure Komfortzonen hinauszuwachsen. Es war mir eine besondere Freude, diesen Raum für euch zu öffnen und zu halten. Danke, dass ihr mit mir mitgegangen seid. 💙 .kampl.pk & Conny

Ein besonderes Danke gilt auch Niki Riegler und Heimo Schader, die schon zu Beginn an mich geglaubt und mir dieses Projekt anvertraut haben. Auch wenn ich zu Beginn nicht sicher war, ob ich die Richtige für den Job bin – heute weiß ich: Ich bin in dieser Rolle komplett aufgegangen und dieses Projekt wurde zu einem meiner ganz persönlichen Lieblingsprojekte. Danke dafür! 💙

Sometimes the most powerful moment is the one you didn’t plan for. 🚀✨

Together with my TEDxKlagenfurt colleague Dr. Verena Kugi, I had the pleasure of hosting a Deep Dive at the Business Frauen Center Future Expo 25, exploring the topic: “Global Voices, Local Impact – A Conversation with TEDxKlagenfurt.”

✔️We talked about what it means to create spaces for ideas, stories and innovations that are worth spreading — right here, in our local community.

✔️How real change often starts with brave voices and thoughtful conversations.

✔️And how a setting like TEDx Klagenfurt, full of inspiring and engaging talks, can be a launchpad for bold, transformative actions.

⭐️ The best part of our Deep Dive? A spontaneous moment that reminded us why we do this.

During the talk we invited Nikolaj Voglauer, one of our incredible volunteers, to join us on stage. He talked about what it means to be part of the TEDxKlagenfurt team - a team that builds, supports and grows together.
He shared how this experience with us helped him take bold steps on his personal journey outside of TEDxKlagenfurt.✨

✨🫶 Ein Tag, der bleibt.

Gestern hatte ich die Freude, eine Gruppe junger, talentierter Frauen in einem besonderen Kommunikationsworkshop zu begleiten. Unter dem Motto „Offen gesagt …“ und „Starke Stimmen, klare Botschaften!“ standen Reflexion, Austausch und persönliches Wachstum im Mittelpunkt.

In einem Raum voller Offenheit, ehrlicher Gespräche und wertvoller Erkenntnisse haben wir gemeinsam reflektiert und Strategien entwickelt, die sie auf ihrem Weg stärken.

Was mich am meisten bewegt hat, waren der gegenseitige Respekt und die Unterstützung in der Gruppe. Diese jungen Frauen bringen die Fähigkeit mit, einander den nötigen Raum und Rückhalt zu geben. Davon können vor allem wir Frauen noch viel lernen.

Ihr Mut, ihre Klarheit und die Bereitschaft, über sich hinauszuwachsen haben mich beeindruckt. Es ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis, diese neue Generation heranwachsender Frauen zu erleben – voller Stärke und Entschlossenheit für sich einzustehen, sich weiterzuentwickeln und zu lernen. Der Workshop fand im Rahmen der Kelag Girls Community statt – Ein inspirierendes Projekt des Business Frauen Center mit Daniela Stein und Sabrina Hafner gemeinsam mit der Kelag Energie, das weiblichen Lehrlingen eine wertvolle Plattform zur Entfaltung ihrer persönlichen und sozialen Potenziale bietet.
