🌍 Exciting news for Klagenfurt and Austria's innovation landscape!

A new COMET research center, ARC – Autonomic Resilience in Dynamic Networked Systems, will be coordinated by Lakeside Labs in Klagenfurt.

The center will develop cutting-edge technologies based on Artificial Intelligence, autonomous systems and swarm intelligence to improve the resilience of businesses, technical systems and critical infrastructure.
This investment further strengthens Klagenfurt as a destination for innovation, research and technology-driven growth.

For startups, scale-ups and international companies exploring expansion opportunities, it is another strong example of the excellent research environment and collaborative ecosystem available in Klagenfurt.

A job may bring you here.

But what makes you stay?

This was the central question of our panel "WE UNITE – Finding your Community in Carinthia" at the BFC Future Expo 2026.

Together with THE BRIDGE – International Network, we invited five inspiring internationals to share their stories of arriving, adapting, building careers, founding businesses, making friends, and ultimately creating a home in Carinthia.

One of my personal highlights at BFC FUTURE EXPO 2026 was giving the keynote about female building, entrepreneurship and the importance of strong ecosystems.
Women often build differently: 💡 more sustainably 💡 more long-term oriented 💡 more impact-driven
And this is exactly what the future needs.
