This Saturday, the 13 ÖTW wineries of the Weinviertel gather at Weingut Gruber-Röschitz for a celebration of origin, wine and summer.

As Austria’s youngest ÖTW member region, the Weinviertel remains one of the country’s most exciting wine destinations: a landscape of rolling hills, loess soils and remarkable diversity, expressed through wines that speak clearly of where they come from.

From 2 pm onwards, visitors can taste their way through the region’s wines of origin, explore the winery, join a guided vineyard walk and discover what makes the Weinviertel’s Erste Lagen so distinctive. Add local food, music, a garden full of wine lovers and bottles available at cellar-door prices, and you have all the ingredients for a very good Saturday.
All in the name of one shared passion: origin.

A Christmas tree in June, midnight swims and port older than some of our team members:
On Sunday, we celebrated Wine+Partners‘ 35th anniversary the only way we know how: surrounded by remarkable people that have helped shape our agency’s history.

For the first time, our legendary Weinachtel took place at Dorli Muhr’s winery on the Spitzerberg. What followed was a gathering of winemakers, chefs, sommeliers, journalists, importers, brewers, visionaries and long-time friends from across the wine and gastronomy world - and let us tell you, it truly felt like a family affair.

From Steirereck’s mushroom creations to Opus One & Penfolds, aged Port from the Douro Boys, rare bottles from around the globe, local pastries baked by the church choir of Prellenkirchen and conversations that lasted til long after sunset - it was a celebration of everything we believe in:
Great wine. Great food. Great people.

Most of all, it was a reminder that Wine+Partners has never been about one person, one winery or one project. It has always been about bringing people together, creating connections and building something bigger than ourselves.

To everyone who has been part of this journey over the past 35 years: thank you.
A very special thank you goes to the people who turned the evening into a true feast: Birgit and Heinz Reitbauer, together with Lorenz and Charlotte Reitbauer, for their unforgettable mushroom dishes; Martin Nuart and Philipp Medved of Bär & Schaf Wirtschaft for keeping everyone wonderfully fed deep into the evening; Schloss Litschau for the legendary wild venison Leberkäse; Andreas Speckl for his gorgeous pasture-raised egg dishes; Eva-Maria Nuart for bringing some of Austria’s finest sheep’s cheese; the one and only Frau Erna for carving Schwarzes Kameel’s exquisite ham; the Prellenkirchen Choir for their delicious cakes, the team at Ährlich for the bread that accompanied it all, and Trip Lepschi abd DJ Turnmaster Tim for the wonderful music.

Here’s to the next chapter.

New figures show just how significant Vienna’s wine industry has become, and a remarkable success story built around urban viticulture, hospitality, tourism and one grape variety that almost disappeared before making an extraordinary comeback.

But the most exciting news may still be ahead.
The six wineries of WienWein have announced a new international tourism initiative set to launch in 2027: an authentic, high quality Vienna Wine Adventure. A digital platform designed to connect visitors from around the world with vineyard hikes, e-bike tours, masterclasses and authentic wine experiences just minutes from Vienna’s city centre.

A rare example of a wine region where vineyards, gastronomy and a global capital exist cohesively, and a fascinating blueprint for the future of wine tourism.

The Mediterranean, bottled.
What begins on the sunlit hills of Catalonia now finds its way from the tables of Marguita into homes across Zurich and beyond.

For more than 30 years, Baur au Lac has worked with the family-run estate Finca Cri Mi Cri, where predominantly Arbequina olives grow at 400 to 600 metres above sea level. Harvested with great care and cold-pressed immediately after picking, they become an olive oil of remarkable purity, elegance and freshness.

Served at Marguita and now available through Baur au Lac and Baur au Lac Vins, it brings exactly the kind of Mediterranean ease we all long for this time of year.

The Carnuntum Experience in Prellenkirchen was gorgeous - just imagine what this Sunday’s experience will be like. On Sunday, 14 June, the Carnuntum Experience arrives in Höflein.

It’s an invitation to spend an afternoon exactly as summer should be spent: wandering through vineyards, meeting the people behind the wines, learning about landscapes and origins, enjoying great food & music, finding a shady spot in the grass and simply taking your time.

And the setting? The Hoher Weg above Höflein offers some of the most beautiful views in the region.

A good restaurant serves great food. A great one makes you want to stay.

That was the vision when the Praskac family set out to shape the future of Das Wolf in Langenlebarn: a place where hospitality comes first, where guests feel welcome whether they arrive in cycling gear for a refreshing drink or gather around a long table for a special celebration.

Together with chef Mark Lukaseder - whose journey has taken him from Steirereck to Toni Mörwald - and restaurant manager Marco Hofbauer, they are creating a modern Austrian Wirtshaus built on warmth, care and a genuine sense of belonging.

Ein Glas voller Zeit und das Event am kommenden Samstag, das Leute, die Wein, philosophieren, sinnieren, diskutieren und einfach geniessen wirklich nicht verpassen sollten.

Am kommenden Samstag, 6. Juni, kommt Ilija Trojanow zum Spitzerberg. Der vielfach ausgezeichnete Autor ist nicht nur einer der grossen Erzähler unserer Zeit, sondern auch passionierter Weinkenner. In seinem jüngsten Buch „Ein Glas voller Zeit“ schreibt er über Wein als Kultur, Rausch, Handwerk und Zeitkapsel - liebevoll, klug und mit wachem Blick auf die Eigenheiten der Weinszene.

Am Weingut Dorli Muhr spricht Ilija Trojanow mit Weinkritiker Stephan Reinhardt über das, was im Glas ist - und über alles, was darüber hinausgeht: Boden und Herkunft, Sprache und Geschmack, Genuss und Erkenntnis.

Dazu spielen Alexander und Konstantin Wladigeroff. Zwei bulgarische Ausnahmemusiker, zwei Brüder, Trompete und Klarinette, Tradition und Balkan Jazz.

Und weil ein Abend über Wein nicht ohne Wein enden sollte, folgt im Anschluss eine kommentierte Verkostung.
