Meet Sinead. As a certified translator and native English speaker based in Ireland, she makes sure every dot and comma is in place. Ensuring we don't have any word for word translations and even teaches some of our clients to perfect their English conversational skills. We asked her a couple of questions. Here's what she told us:
*What is your job at Say it right?*
I wear a few different hats in the business. My main area of work is in translation and proofreading. I do some online business English teaching and also some administration.
*What are the three essential skills for your job?*
Patience, flexibility and thoroughness.
*What is a day in the office like for you?*
I work from home, so it varies. I do, however, try to stick to a schedule and work most mornings. As translation and proofreading often involve moving away from the text for a while, I usually go back to work again later in the day.
*Do you drink coffee or tea while you work?*
I drink coffee in the mornings only. During the day, I tend to drink ginger tea. It's great for re-hydration and for giving you an energy boost.
*What is your motivation booster?*
I find I work better if I work in concentrated blocks of time, so I try to step away from the computer for a certain amount of time at regular intervals.
P.S. If you're wondering about how to pronounce that name, it's Irish and is pronounced (Sh-i-n-eead)
