Black Spot Press is a fine art printmaking and editioning studio in Vienna, Austria. Always open to fresh and new ideas, creativity and experimentation.

Black Spot Press was set up by master printer Tom Phelan who has over 25 years experience as a trained print maker. He has worked with numerous Irish and international artists at the Graphic Studio Dublin, Ireland's first and oldest print studio, of which he later became the manager before moving to Vienna. The aim of Black Spot Press is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for artists

A new editioning project in Austria who have just released their first collection of handmade prints of female artists in different printmaking techniques. I was happy to have been asked to make the plates and editions for two of the artists involved.

So, now that it is official! I am very happy to announce that the limited hand printed wood block edition cover sleeve (300) for Stuart's new solo album were made and printed at my studio, Black Spot Press, here in Vienna. I cut the blocks and was helped in the printing of the edition by Suzanne and Stuart.

Well one of Santa's little printers has been hard at it, shoulder has been to the wheel this week. There is not a rail or surface left to dry prints on in the studio so happy people can have prints for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

MY new home built flatting machine is up and running like a dream have 15 boards at the moment but will flatten up to 50 if needed, nice !!
