Winter has certainly arrived in Adelaide!

When it comes to winter dressing, it's all about finding that sweet spot between practical and stylish.

This outfit starts with a simple foundation: a knit, jeans and boots.

From there, thoughtful layering completely changes the result.

See how the outfit becomes more finished, more interesting and more pulled together than relying on one warm piece to do all the heavy lifting.

That's the art of winter layering.

In this week's newsletter, I shared a detailed guide to one of my favourite styling formulas for creating warm, stylish winter outfits.

If you'd like a copy, DM me your email address and I'll send the newsletter through and add you to the list for future styling tips and guides.

Stay warm and have a lovely long weekend!

Food for style thought…

A wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear usually isn’t a shopping problem. It’s a strategy problem 🤍

If your wardrobe feels like this, let’s change that. Send me a message and let’s chat about creating a wardrobe that actually works for you.

Well… Adelaide has officially delivered the cold, wet weather and for the first time this year, the coat is out. ☔🤎

I’m actually not mad about it, because cooler weather means layering, texture, and all those little styling details that make an outfit feel interesting.

This season I’m having fun playing with scarves again, mostly square silk ones. Such an easy way to add colour, personality, and a polished touch to even the most casual outfit.

Today’s look is all about comfortable casual, but still feeling put together. Perfect for a weekend brunch, a wander through the shops, or coffee with friends.

Because relaxed style doesn’t have to mean giving up style altogether.

A wardrobe doesn’t need to be overflowing to work well.

It just needs the right mix.

Pieces you love.
Colours that work together.
Styles that suit your body.
And outfits that feel like, “yes! this is me.”

That’s what makes getting dressed every morning easier.

Not because everything is perfect, but because your wardrobe makes sense.

And that... is where effortless dressing begins.

Autumn/Winter 2026 Colour Combination No. 3

The third of my favourite colour combinations from the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2026 palette is a duo, and this one is definitely a ‘me’ combo!

Red Mahogany (a beautiful burgundy)
+
Foxglove (a soft dusky pink)

Clearly, I’m crushing on this colour combination.

Anyone who knows me knows I love pink, and burgundy has always been one of my favourite deeper shades.

They are both in my personal colour palette as feature as some of my best colours.
And while this combination is having a fashion moment, most of these pieces have been in my wardrobe for a good while.

That is the beauty of knowing your colours.

When you understand what suits you, you can build a wardrobe with pieces that continue to work year after year, then style them in fresh ways as fashion and seasons shift.

As you can see, I’ve worn this combination in a corporate way, a dressy occasion way, and a smart casual way.

Red Mahogany brings the richness to these outfits, and Foxglove brings the softness.

Together, they feel feminine, modern and polished.

One extra tip I’ll drop here is, with colour duos, let one colour lead and use the other to soften, lift or add interest.

Would you wear this combo?

And just like that, it’s all about jumpers again.

The temperature has dropped, the rain has arrived, and suddenly we’re reaching for our warmer pieces again.

This is when a good outfit formula makes life so much easier.

One I love at this time of the year:

LOOSE-FIT PANTS + KNIT + SHOES + GREAT ACCESSORIES

It’s simple, but it works.

The beauty is in the variations.

Perhaps it is:

- Jeans, an oversized knit and sneakers for relaxed and easy-breezy.
- Barrel-leg pants, a fitted knit and Mary Janes for polished yet comfortable.
- Pleated pants, a semi-fitted knit with a shirt layered underneath and loafers for smart casual without trying too hard.

The formula gives you the structure. Your style gives it the personality.

And that is the gold.

Always remember, it is not about having lots of clothes. It is about having the right pieces for your lifestyle, body shape, colouring and personality, then making them work hard.

Are you a fan of this formula, or do you have your own go-to cool-weather combination? Tell me in the comments.

When day in, day out, you’re feeling invisible in your outfits, it’s often a sign your wardrobe reflects the you from years gone by or perhaps the you you wish you were... rather than who you are today.

When your wardrobe suits who you are now, getting dressed stops being hard.

Has your style kept up with who you’ve become? Tell me in the comments.

How did getting dressed feel this
morning?

Quick and easy…
or more effort than it should have been?

I’ve always said…
“A wardrobe well planned is a wardrobe well worn.”

Because when your wardrobe is working properly:
• you don’t stand there overthinking
• you don’t try on five different outfits
• you don’t leave the house feeling “not quite right”

You get dressed quickly.
You feel like yourself.
And then you move on with your day.

That’s the goal.

If getting dressed is a daily challenge,
it’s not you… it’s your wardrobe.

And that’s something we can fix.

If you’re ready to create a wardrobe that actually works
for you, get in touch - I’d love to help.

Autumn/Winter 2026 Colour Combination No. 2

The second of my favourite colour combinations from the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2026 palette, and this one definitely has a bit of personality.

Festival Fuchsia (a deep soft pink)
Toffee (a warm brown)
Egret (a soft cream)

What I love about this combination is that it’s bold and unique, but completely wearable on the daily.

The key with this combination is to let the fuchsia be the hero. A knit, blouse or scarf in this hue instantly brings vibrancy to the outfit.

Then use Toffee to ground the look through a foundational pant or a skirt.

Let Egret do the quiet work of tying everything together through the accessories, shoes, bag, belt, or a layer.

This is my wearable take on the colour story rather than an exact Pantone match, and that’s the beauty of using a palette like this as inspiration. It gives you direction, but still leaves room to make it your own.

Most of the pieces here have been in my wardrobe for a good while.

The only new addition is the pants, and these need a mention. Yes, they look polished, but the fabric is stretchy, as in workout-pants stretchy, so they are oh-so-comfortable, which is a big win in my book (IYKYK)

I love using a colour palette like this as inspiration. You don’t need to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. It’s about styling what you already own a little differently, and adding one or two fresh pieces to give everything new life.

What do you think of this combination?

Autumn/Winter 2026 Colour Combination No. 1

After last week’s thoughts on whether we’re drifting into a bit of a beige world, I thought it was time to start sharing some of the colour combinations from the Pantone Autumn/Winter 2026 palette that are really catching my eye.

And this one is a beauty...

All Aboard + Egret + Arabian Spice

What I love about this combination is that it shows colour does not need to be loud to be interesting.

All Aboard (a pretty blue) brings freshness.
Egret (a soft white) softens and lightens everything beautifully.
Arabian Spice (a rich golden brown) adds warmth, richness and depth.

Together, they feel polished, modern and quietly stylish.

This is my interpretation of the combination, but the fun part is that you can work it however you fancy.

The same three hues could be worn in a more tailored way, a more relaxed way, or something more fashion-forward, depending on your style and how much colour you like to bring into your wardrobe.

To me, this is where colour is so powerful. It can shift the attitude of an outfit and add real personality to your style.

And when it sits alongside great neutrals, it can be super chic.

Watch this space for more of my favourite Autumn/Winter 2026 colour combinations over the coming weeks.

Would you wear this combination?
