I consistently receive the most outstanding customer service whenever I’m in store for client pre-shops and shopping trips.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for Mara, and when I need her assistance, she is always so quick, efficient and happy to help. She’ll always go that extra mile for me, which means I’m able to get great results for my clients & I truly appreciate that!

Mara is kind, caring, patient and respectful, and her energy is next level too lol! I genuinely appreciate this and never take it for granted, as sadly, I don’t experience this level of service in every store.

The other girls are amazing too, & I love that there is such a consistently high standard across the whole team. This is clearly a reflection of having a fabulous store manager who leads by example.

STYLE TREND TUESDAY

Bring On The Spring Spots!
Spots and polka dots are huge this season, as we saw in my post a couple of weeks ago!

This is my latest spring obsession ladies, a funky little bomber jacket in two of my fave neutrals: dark, warm brown and cream. They work beautifully with my high-value contrast of brown hair and fair skin.

I simply add one of my exotic-coloured tops, tees or tanks underneath - another passion of mine, as they stop an outfit from looking boring and colourless!

Remember, neutrals aren’t colours, so they’ll work with all your colours. Your neutrals will also work well together, as long as they have the same undertone—warm or cool. This jacket looks great with other neutrals, but I’ll add a striped tee for extra interest, depth and texture.

All of these combinations also suit my relaxed/dramatic personality style, which is the most important thing to consider when purchasing anything.

The jacket is a little oversized, as this was the smallest size available. So much of what we see in stores is oversized at the moment, but it isn’t necessarily flattering on everyone. A slightly oversized jacket is fine, but it does mean that everything you wear with it needs to have significantly less volume - bottoms, tops and shirts, especially if you’re under around 5'6-7".
So, my beloved straight-leg navy cargos are the perfect go-to with this cutie!

I bought mine, and there are more coming into Little Love Boutique, a fabulous little store at Hallett Cove Shopping Centre and on Level 1 at Marion Westfield. The Marion store is only there until December as a pop-up, so go and visit the lovely owner, Emma and tell her I sent you!

I’ve loved every minute of the colour and style process with the fabulous Joanna.

Jo came for her colour and style session a couple of months ago, and we then followed up with her huge wardrobe session. Together, we made good decisions about what should stay, what should go and how to best utilise what was left.

From there, I put together a list of the new items she needed for life & work - pieces that were lacking in her wardrobe. This happens to so many of my clients over time when they get busy with work, family, travel and everything else. Plus, it can be so difficult to make clothing and colour decisions when it all feels overwhelming in the shops. I find it overwhelming myself, and I do this for a job!

So, on our recent shopping trip, we found lots of fabulous items for beautiful Jo that she loved. I was especially excited to find many intriguing colours that Jo needed to bring life to her and her wardrobe—warm, soft and light shades that enhanced her hair, eyes and skin, helping her look her very best.

We even found a warm, soft violet that matched her swatch, these versions are sadly rare! We also worked on using a couple of her neutral blazers from her existing wardrobe to blend beautifully with the new colours offering even more versatility.
Neutrals are great and should make up the bulk of our most-used basics, but colour brings the fun and excitement to your outfits.

And, of course, the clothes suited Jo’s personality and her physically as well.

Now is the time to sort that closet of yours!

Spring has arrived, which means a fresh new season is here. It’s still cold, so winter wear is still relevant, but this is where you can start blending your winter & spring attire together, while bringing some freshness into your wardrobe.

A client & I spent 3 hours in her fabulous wardrobe a few days ago following her Colour & Style session. We took the education I had given her during her Colour & Style sessions & applied it to her current wardrobe, making great choices about what would stay & what would go.

Clients often tell me that after their wardrobe overhaul, they continue removing pieces that are no longer serving them - because they can finally see why!

So, we focused on the following for Joey.

1. Finding as many Exotic colours in her current wardrobe as possible - there were quite a few!

2. Establishing whether each garment matched her personality style - Joey is relaxed/feminine.

3. Making sure all the items she wanted to keep fitted her correctly - some pieces simply need a little adjusting.

4. Looking at whether the silhouette of each garment worked with Joey’s shape - she is an ‘A’ shape.

5. Establishing whether her garments suited her vertical proportions & worked with the thirds - Joey is teeny-tiny at just 4’8”, so clothing volume, length & fabric type really matter.

This is where a wardrobe overhaul can be so valuable - it’s not simply about getting rid of clothes. It’s about taking everything you’ve learnt in the colour & style session & applying that knowledge to the wardrobe you already own.

It was a real treat for me as a Colour Consultant when Jessica booked my Colour For Three session recently. She was sharing the session with her twin sis Megan & their bestie Sydney — and being a twin myself, this was particularly exciting for me!

I’ve only had identical twins come to me for a Colour Analysis once before, so I’m always fascinated to see how their colouring compares. I’m hoping more sets of twins make their way to me!

As you can see, the stunning Jess & Megan are quite different palettes. Both have cool skin undertones, but Jess is lighter in value & clearer/brighter, making her a Refined palette, while Megan is medium in value & much softer, making her a Serene.

And this is exactly why I love colour analysis — even when two people share so much genetically, their best colours can be quite different!

These are the distinct differences between the girls...

Jess left... Refined/cool & clear
1. overall value is light - light blonde hair
2. value contrast level is mostly low except some between her eyebrow & skin. With a little more cool blonde highlights at the front roots her contrast lowers again.
3. colour contrast is high - this allows her to wear 3 colours in one outfit, blonde/yellow hair, blue eyes & pinky lips
4. neutrals - not as important

Megan right... Serene/cool & soft
1. overall value is medium - medium hair
2. value contrast level is medium between her hair & skin
3. colour contrast is medium - this allows her to wear 2 colours in one outfit, blue eyes & pinky/red lips
4. neutrals - more important to match her ash brown hair

And then we have the gorgeous bestie Sydney who is a cool, light, soft Sublime. How beautiful do her eyes look in her signature blue/greens & the pinks to harmonize with her flawless skin. Sydney will look her best in 1-2 neutrals & 2 colours similar to Megan

STYLE TREND TUESDAY - SPRING HAS SPRUNG

POLKA DOTS, GINGHAM & PLAYFUL PRINTS 2026!
Polka dots never date but they are having a fabulous moment this spring! From classic black & white to colourful dots and oversized spots, they're a fun way to add personality to your wardrobe. Remember, scale matters - choose a dot size that works with your own physical scale - height, weight & bone structure size.
Find something in a coloured polka dot this spring rather than classic black & white for something different.

Gingham is back too! It's a woven fabric featuring a simple, usually two-colour checked or plaid pattern, created by crossing horizontal and vertical stripes. Traditionally associated with cotton and a fresh, casual feel, gingham can range from tiny checks to larger, bolder patterns. Forget the little picnic-check dress, this season we're seeing gingham in larger checks, stronger colours and more sophisticated styles. It's a wonderfully fresh & playful print for spring.

And it's not just spots & checks! Leopard, florals, stripes and other playful prints are bringing plenty of personality to spring fashion.
My tip... don't be afraid of patterns & prints! Choose colours that flatter & harmonize on you, consider the scale of the print & if you're a little nervous, start with a top, scarf or accessory rather than going head-to-toe.

Be mindful to choose any of these trends to suit who you are as an individual, otherwise they may simply sit in your wardrobe without any purpose.
Remember, just because something's “on trend” doesn't mean it belongs in YOUR wardrobe!
