This one changed me forever. ❤️

From the moment I met Melanie, to guiding her through the creation of a purposeful brand strategy and visual presence, to now supporting her as Acres by Design grows, I have felt privileged to be part of her story. Words couldn't describe it, but to say I'm proud of what we've created, and what she and Darren are building, is an understatement.

I wish I could share all of the positioning and messaging I poured my heart into, but this snippet of the brand personality offers a glimpse into how we translated an idea into a concept, and a concept into a tangible brand presence. 👇🏻

"The brand personality reflects the aspirational lifestyle and serene beauty of the properties Acres by Design transforms and maintains. It is timeless and sophisticated, balancing elegance with practicality to evoke a sense of grand yet approachable living. The brand is calm and grounded, reflecting not only the physical transformation of acreage, but also the mental clarity, ease and peace experienced by property owners.

The visual palette is soft and muted, featuring dusty blues and earthy neutrals that evoke calm, quiet and a connection to the natural landscape of the Adelaide Hills. Clean, understated layouts communicate reliability, professionalism and thoughtful design, while imagery of expansive skies, rolling hills, sunlit gardens and natural textures conveys a sense of freedom, space and instant relaxation.

The overall look and feel is soothing, elegant and inspiring, creating reassurance and excitement for clients stepping into their dream property. The tone is welcoming, refined and quietly confident, marrying a love for the Adelaide Hills with deep expertise, creativity and respect for the land, animals and lifestyle of its owners."

If you're ready for a heart centred brand that lights you up from the inside and ignites that same fire in your kindred spirit clients, comment "Brand" or send me a DM for all the details on my exclusive brand strategy and design packages.

In my 20+ years of designing brands and mentoring business owners, one thing has remained consistently true: The same business wobbles show up time and time again.

If you’re launching something new: “Why would anyone want this?”

If you’re making a big investment: “What if I’m wasting my money?”

When you finally approve the brand concept: “What if my audience hates it and my business ends up failing?”

If you have a quiet month: “Nobody wants to work with me.”

And even when business is thriving:
“What if this is the last client I ever have?”
“What if this is as good as it gets?”
“What if this client hates working with me?”

The details change, but the fear is the same.

I’ve always said there are two types of businesses. Those that exist for profit, productivity and KPIs, and those that were born from a genuine desire to serve.

I’m guessing you’re the latter, because all of the women in my world are. They care deeply and want to make an impact. They want to help people create change in their lives, businesses and families.

The challenge is that when you’re so invested in that work, it’s easy to become consumed by the stories running through your head. The fears become louder than the facts, and before long you’re making decisions from a place of self doubt rather than service.

Whenever I find myself in that space, I come back to one simple action: Focus on serving.

Serve to the best of your ability, regardless of what’s happening around you. Even if you don’t have clients, generously share what you can. Focus on helping and contributing.

The beautiful thing about service is that it pulls your attention away from yourself and back towards the people you’re here to support.

Gratitude and anxiety can’t exist together. Neither can service and self obsession. Focus on what you can control instead of all the “what ifs”.

Something was planted in you for a reason. Trust it, and let it grow.

I have one space available to work together in June for a heart driven coach, consultant or service provider who is ready to elevate their brand. Send me a DM or download a Success Kit from my website for more detai

I wholeheartedly believe AI will never replace innate human creativity. Ever.

Truthfully, AI had me worried for a minute. In the beginning, I had some wobbles. Until I started seeing the fallout in real time, especially when it comes to emotionally driven visual storytelling for brands.

AI can be an incredible tool. But when it comes to representing your brand, your customers will always crave something more real… something human.

Brands aren’t remembered for information, they’re remembered for emotion.

People will always remember how your brand made them feel. Whether it felt trustworthy. Safe. Aspirational. Grounded. Joyful. Familiar. They remember whether it created belief in what’s possible for them. Hope for the future.

And that’s the part AI can’t build for you. Sure, it can generate generic visuals based on a mish-mash of things it finds on the Internet. It can write coherent sentences and pull inspiration from a thousand places at once.

But creating the kind of emotional connection people remember through both your messaging and visuals takes more than the right prompts.

It takes empathy, and an understanding of human behaviour that only comes from lived experience. It takes truly grasping where your clients are today, where they want to go, and creating a visual and emotional experience that bridges the gap between those two places.

If your brand isn’t offering a consistent emotional experience, people won’t remember it.

If emotional intelligence, human insight and intuition aren’t driving your brand identity, AI won’t solve the problem. it’ll simply amplify the disconnect.

I’m not saying don’t use AI, I’m saying it’s time to pull up your big girl pants and take control of the perception of your brand. Use it for the tool it is, but don’t use it as a substitute for emotion-driven branding that reflects your values, your expertise and the feeling you want people to carry long after they’ve left your world.

Human creativity first. AI support second. ❤️🤖

Sometimes you just need a good shove in the right direction. 👊🏻

At the beginning of the year, I set a goal to run 10km. I’m not really a runner. I do 5km a few times a week for fitness and those feel good hormones that come with it. But I’ve realised that when I set goals for myself outside of business, somehow every area of my life benefits. It creates momentum, motivation and energy.

Fast forward a couple of months. ⏱️

I’d run 8km a few times and honestly felt like I needed to book myself into a nursing home by the end of the day. Argh. My aching bones so eloquently reminded me I’m not 20 anymore.

So I kind of gave up. Not officially. But my actions certainly did the talking.

I mean, it’s only May. I’ve got the whole year to do it, right?

I settled back into my 5km routine and slipped into the pattern of telling myself I didn’t have time for more. Being a business owner with four kids is a recipe for being chronically time poor, after all.

Until...

I caught up with a good friend yesterday. The best kind of friend. You know the ones who genuinely make you want to be a better version of yourself? If you don’t have one of those people, I highly recommend finding one.

Anyway, she waved a wand over me or sprinkled fairy dust on me or something.
And she said, “You could probably run 10km tomorrow if you really wanted to.”
Given she’s an ex pro sportsperson, she also gave me some wise advice about pacing myself.

So this morning, I woke up and decided I was going to run 10km.
And surprise surprise...

I DID IT!!!!!

So this is a little bit of a brag post. Also a little bit of a “I’m recording this moment” post. And a little bit of a “if you believe you can, you can” kind of post.

So whatever it is you’ve been wanting to do, but you’ve been feeding yourself excuses ('hrm LIES)...

Get out there and DO IT. 💫

Does your brand feel like a bad renovation? 🏡🔨

You know what I mean. You started with a Canva logo, until you realised a brand wasn’t just about a logo.

So you bought a branding workbook or course…

And maybe got yourself a big girl logo with a colour palette and font.

Until you got caught in the trap of not having enough assets to communicate your brand clearly…

So you started trawling Canva for “good enough” graphics, icons and images that fit with your latest post or blog…

And then… suddenly it hit you. 👊🏻 You have a fruit salad, not a brand.

So here you are. With a growing business (because let’s face it, you’re still amazing at what you do) and a trail of mis-matched marketing collateral that doesn’t quite articulate what you do or how you help your people. 💭

You know your business has scalable potential, but your sub-par brand is holding you back from reaching the right people at the right level. You know you need a reset; a seamless, cohesive brand toolkit and the unshakable confidence to deliver your message with a knowing twinkle in your eye. ✨

I’ve helped hundreds of coaches, online educators and service providers craft brands that not only feel elevated, unique and trustworthy, but connect with their ideal customers in a way that sparks instant attraction and evolves into adoring brand loyalty. 💞

Gentle brand strategy, curated with care, mixed with a treasure chest overflowing with lovingly hand drawn brand elements, icons and logo variations that make marketing not just easy, but enjoyable.

Because you know you’re hitting all the right notes. 🎶

If this sounds like something your business is crying out for, comment “Success” and I’ll send you all the info on my exclusive branding process, perfected over 20+ years. Or if you’re old school like me, send me a DM or download one from the link in my bio. 🤭

I'm fresh off the back of a coffee date that I expected to be a relaxing social catch up. And it was. But I also got something I didn't expect at all.

A challenge. A bit of conviction. Some honest self reflection.

I started this year feeling oh-so-good. I set goals and swiftly started walking confidently towards them. But then something completely unexpected happened...

My 1:1 branding services booked out like it was 2019. 💥

It’s been incredible. The women I’ve worked with have been next level inspiring. Coaches, mentors, online creators, purpose driven personal brands… this work lights me up like nothing else. I’ve honestly been in a bit of a creative bubble.

Between that and wearing my Mum/wife hat, the plans I had for 2026 are currently waving at me resentfully from a dusty, cobwebby corner of my studio.

Side note: how is it May already? 🥴

So this morning, when my very accomplished, inspiring friend/client/mentor of many life things posed the question to me, "What are you planning to achieve before June 30?", I almost choked.

Because it genuinely felt like a personal challenge bubbling up from the January 1 version of myself.

Truthfully, I know I could have made more progress on my goals, even with a full client load and family life. I’m an Enneagram 9, so I’m very aware of my tendency to prioritise everyone else and keep the peace… at the expense of my own goals.

So today I'm resetting. I'm channeling the energy of January 1 Rach and choosing one goal to achieve before June 30. And once I actually put my head down and my bum up, I guarantee it will probably be done before the end of next week. ✨

So lovely, how has your year been so far?

I'd love to pose the same question to you. What is the one thing you want to achieve in your business before June 30 rolls around?

Small gestures make the biggest impact. 🫶🏻 And I had a moment recently that made me realise how easy it actually is to stand out in business.

Over the past little while, I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve been stood up by tradies. Someone says they’ll be there Tuesday morning… but that comes and goes… and you hear nothing. No message, no explanation, just silence. 🤬

Then the dates get muddled, or the arrival window shifts three times, or the “we’ll pop by this afternoon” that somehow lands exactly at school pick up time (true story). 😳

It’s not the end of the world, but after a while those little moments (or silences) start to leave a sour taste. And judging by how many people nod along when this topic comes up, I know it’s a common story.

Which got me thinking: what if, in your business, you simply communicated well? 🤨

What if when someone enquired, you replied in a timely manner? What if after a discovery call you actually sent the quote instead of leaving someone wondering whether they imagined the conversation? What if you stayed gently connected while their project was underway, even if most of the work was happening quietly behind the scenes?

👉🏻 A quick message to say things are progressing beautifully
👉🏻 A note to let them know a milestone might shift slightly
👉🏻 A little update so they never feel forgotten

I’ve had a few replies in my inbox recently that made me smile.

“Thank you so much for letting me know.”
“That’s so exciting, I can’t wait to see it.”
“Thank you for your prompt reply.”

Nothing extraordinary had happened. I had simply kept them in the loop. 🤷🏼‍♀️

And it reminded me how much people value feeling seen and considered. When someone trusts you with a project, it matters to them. Whether it’s their business, their brand or their dream, if they’ve invested, they care deeply about the outcome.

So what if you cared about their experience just as much as the result?

Sometimes standing out isn’t about louder, flashier marketing. It’s the quiet one percenters. The micro moments that say “you matter and your project matters too.”

People might not remember every detail of what you did for them, but they will absolutely remember how you made them feel.

So here’s a question for you today.

What small tweak could you make to your workflow to ensure communication is always part of the experience you deliver?

Because in a world where so many businesses leave people wondering… simply showing up well is a powerful way to stand out. 💫
