A little behind the scenes from Dublin Bay.

Harry and Jordo heading down to the media boat before another day covering the ILCA Worlds, then straight into it on the water.

Today Jordo is taking things a step further, getting into the water to shoot from a completely different angle.

We’re hoping the results are going to be worth the cold. 🥶

A lot of work goes into covering these events, but days like this make it pretty enjoyable.

We’re still absolutely buzzing from this past week.

For a media outlet from down under, being handed the keys to the ILCA channels and given the opportunity to tell the stories of this fleet has been pretty damn special. Not to mention broadcasting that epic Final Series to the world!

We’ve felt incredibly welcomed by the athletes, volunteers and officials from the moment we arrived in Ireland. It’s been an amazing championship to be part of, both on and off the water.

Massive congrats to World Champion , as well as and the entire top 10. What a finish!

One event is down! Now we reset for the women’s!

What a week! ☀️🏆🌊

The 2026 Windsurfer Nationals lit up Yeppoon Main Beach and Keppel Bay Sailing Club, bringing together an incredible community for a week of racing, laughs and unforgettable memories.

A huge shout out to the club staff, race officials, volunteers and organisers who made the event run so smoothly. The facilities, the atmosphere and the people were simply first class.

And that’s a wrap on the 2026 Australian Windsurfer Nationals! 🤙🏽🏆

A huge congratulations to everyone who competed, volunteered and made this such an incredible week. The Presentation Awards were the perfect way to finish it all off, and seeing the Yeppoon foreshore lit up with colourful sails all week was something pretty special.

It’s been an absolute pleasure capturing the event for Down Under Sail. Thanks to everyone for making it one to remember.

Day 5. The freestyle grand finale! 🤸‍♀️ 🌊

Sometimes the best moments aren’t the ones you plan…

With barely a breath of wind, the freestyle still delivered incredible displays of determination, athleticism and a few unforgettable moments. Congratulations to our Backflip Man 👏 Who somehow managed to backflip through his boom after it let go… and took it like an absolute champion 🤙

To every competitor, volunteer and supporter who made this year’s Windsurfer Nationals so special thank you. It has been an absolute pleasure capturing the event through the lens for Down Under Sail.
