McMahon Services is a demolition and site remediation firm.
They specialise in “reverse-building” technologies and site dilapidation remedial services.
Upon Harris Scarfe Australia Pty Ltd’s exit from the venerable, and historic, 81 Rundle Mall site [c. May 2011], McMahon’s were contracted by the developer for “Rundle Place” to commence demolition, and site preparation around neighbouring Adelaide CBD properties.
Cleverly, and poignantly, McMahon’s stationed two motion delay cameras:
[1] one prominently positioned from above the former ES Wigg & Son Building on Grenfell Street, overlooking the dual-ornate gabled G.P. Harris, Scarfe & Co. Ltd’s warehouse structures by Eric McMichael [famed for designing the first skyscraper, Verco House [1912] on North Terrace as part of now-Remm Myer development],
[2] whereas the other camera was stationed northeast-looking-southwest from atop of Adelaide Central Plaza [formally John Martin & Co. Ltd.]
The result: time elapsed, and severely compressed, to 5:07 in total length of night-day/day-night recordings.
This shows the complete breadth of the city property, including the famous “arcade block” [completed: 1922] in 81 Rundle Mall, and takedown of all surrounding [and condemned] lean-to structures in 2011.

A lot of good, and honourable people worked throughout this site over many decades.
