Lead Ag Teacher Sue Pratt enjoyed working with science teachers at the SA Science Teachers Association State Conference where she ran a workshop with the theme of “connections, context and curiosity through food and fibre”.

Focusing on grain, sheep, poultry and dairy, Sue showcased how these industries provide the engaging, real-world context for key science concepts like science inquiry skills and science as a human endeavour, as well as resources, industry contacts and career information.

Great to see new LAT newsletter subscriptions from this workshop and an enthusiastic group of teachers keen to share what they have learned with their science students.

Like to know more? Contact Sue as she would love to help your school inspire your students through food and fibre.

Today, Team AgC celebrated this lovely lady, the glue that holds us all together – our Business Manager, Cara Heney.

Cara has been with our team for just over 10 years. While she started as an accounts officer three offices ago, now she’s all over the projects, the contracts, the people – there is literally not much in AgC that Cara doesn’t touch. She’s the one who plans her week … and then we all come and up-end it for her with our many and varied requests!

She is so generous, selfless and proactive in the way she supports Team AgC. We are so grateful for all she does for us … we are literally lost when she’s on leave!

Congrats Cara on 10 years (we promise, no more office moves 😉)
