Some campaigns are about clicks and others are about real community impact.
The “Never Bin a Battery” campaign for RAMJO was designed to do exactly that. It raised awareness of the fire risks caused by batteries being thrown into household bins and waste trucks, and educated communities across southern NSW on how to dispose of them correctly through Community Recycling Centres.
Spanning 14 Local Government Areas, this was a large scale, multi-channel community campaign. Digital budgets were weighted across three population zones to match where the message needed to land hardest.
The results?
⚡ 1.8 million impressions across Instagram and Facebook
⚡ 408,000 views on YouTube
⚡ 60,871 cinema admissions
⚡ 55,528 reached through local newspaper print
⚡ Radio across four regional stations and TV across linear and digital
Beyond the numbers, this campaign was about creating awareness that protects waste workers, communities, and local infrastructure. A reminder that strategic digital marketing isn’t just about selling products, it can also help drive meaningful behavioural change at scale.
