Has your little monster lost their hat… again?

The “No Hat, No Play” policies enforced by most schools definitely have their merits, especially here in Queensland — the skin cancer capital of the world. Unfortunately, even the most careful child manages to lose a hat from time to time.

Again this year, we’ve had many parents coming in to embroider a replacement hat after the first — and sometimes even the second — has gone missing. With some school hats now costing $70 or more, not to mention the hassle of replacing them through the uniform shop, it’s well worth considering.

A slight lull in customer jobs gave me the chance to personalise Molly’s Lego chair — with Molly helping choose the design and colour combination.

The keen-eyed amongst you may have noticed my vest and Quyen’s jacket at the recent Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. Both featured rose embroidery designs to complement the “distinguished” theme and fun atmosphere of the day.

With matching rose motifs, we certainly stood out from the crowd.

A quick and crude edit of the old Jawa doing its absolute best three-up at the 2026 DGR.
Quyen riding pillion, and Molly playing monkey, both working overtime around Mt Coot-tha to keep us on the black stuff through the twisties.
Somehow the rain held off, making for a fantastic day, with more than $80K raised in Brisbane for men’s health.
There’s still time to throw a few dollars behind a very worthy cause.

Before you know it, Finals footy will be here and another season will be wrapping up.

Last year, we had the pleasure of helping one of the Aspley Devils team managers create a great end-of-season keepsake for the team.

We customised camp chairs with embroidered club logos and each player’s individual name — a practical and personal memento for all their hard work throughout the season.
