From Idea to Impact: A Circular Economy Success Story ♻️

2B has been incredibly fortunate to work alongside Stephen Richards, Big Bag Recovery, and Circular Communities Australia in developing their brands over the years. Seeing an idea that started nearly a decade ago turn into a sustainable circular manufacturing plant in Toowoomba is nothing short of inspiring.

The grand opening of this purpose-built facility marks a major step forward in recycling woven polypropylene (20kg) and bulker bags (800-1000kg)—giving Australian industries and consumers the capacity to repurpose waste into functional, everyday products.

Massive congratulations to Stephen Richards, Stewart Ford, Helena Tierney, and the entire team on this milestone. The effort, vision, and collaboration from so many brands and suppliers have made this a reality. The impact will be felt far beyond Toowoomba—this is a homegrown solution that keeps waste out of landfills and in the loop.

Hey people,
Yesterday I checked out Signs of Other Signs at HOTA Gallery on the Gold Coast. Awesome gallery. I’ve spent years creating and designing signs, so seeing an exhibition of just the signs—no artwork—felt wild. They’ve taken the stuff we ignore daily, stuck it in a gallery, and gone, “Hey, look at this!”

Lyle Duncan has turned boring “NO PARKING” signs into acrylic and steel masterpieces. It’s like meeting a sign’s ghost, floating around, looking for meaning. The transparent material? Genius. It’s like the signs are asking, “Am I even real?” Existential crisis, roadworks edition.

This year we are please to announce that aclaimed Australian artist and multiple award winner Wendy Sharpe will be our Judge for this years event, and will be there to present the awards to our winners

With an overall Prize Pool of over $20,000, and a $10,000 First Prize the Bundaberg Art Prize has become one of regional Queenslands premier art events.

Australia with no restrictions on theme or media, encompassing Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, Digital Media, Textiles, and 3D works.

2B took on the task of developing new branding and promotional material for the Wide Bay Burnett Environment Council Inc (WBBEC), creating a modern and engaging identity that resonates with the general public.

WBBEC is a non-partisan, not-for-profit environmental advocacy organisation dedicated to safeguarding the biodiversity of Queensland’s Wide Bay Burnett region. Members convene quarterly in Maryborough, driven by the motto ‘Protecting the region’s biodiversity for the future’.

The organisation pursues its goals through diverse advocacy methods, including community education campaigns across multiple media platforms, expert advice to government bodies, proactive environmental investigations, and fostering collaboration among local community and conservation groups statewide.
