Word of mouth still matters.
It just looks a little different now.

Before buyers pick up the phone, they’ve already looked online. The brand, the website, the signage, the socials. It all matters.

Working alongside and to build a brand that reflects the quality behind the stock.

From paddock to profile.

Behind the scenes content is one of the most underused tools in regional marketing, and it’s free.

It builds trust with your audience, shows off your skills, and puts the real humans behind your small business on screen. Exactly what rural and regional brands need to stand out on social media.

This six second clip was captured by the lovely Nic from Destination Central West NSW while I was shooting content in Borenore last Tuesday.

That’s all it took to show who I work with, what I do, and the country I do it in.

Try it this week. Hand your phone to someone, prop it on a fencepost, ten seconds of you doing your thing.
No script.
No overthinking.
Just you at work.

Your audience wants to see the people behind the business.

Will you show them??

Some days running a country marketing and social media studio looks like this 👇

A shoot at in the morning for a project I can’t wait to share 🍎
Oliver home sick on the couch (tonsillitis, round sixteen or thereabouts, the poor kid is over it, finally got that referral, be gone tonsils 👋).
Then back to the desk in the arvo to push marketing retainer clients work along.
• quarter page ad edits plus an editorial opportunity in motion
• signage plans done
• Comms moving for and with
• And the one that made me grin today, signage confirmed for Hamlet & Fields going up right here in Bathurst 🙏

This is the bit nobody warns you about when you start a regional biz and have a crack. The week can get messy, and the work doesn’t pause for it. But. You just learn to move with it 🤸‍♀️

Shoot in the morning, mum/admin in the afternoon, edits at night, and somehow the wins still stack up.

🐾 Mabel snoring next to me while I upload today’s files. I look up at the vision board on the wall and think, yep, it’s all going to plan.

For every solo operator out there pulling the same juggle, keep going. The messy days are the work, but it’s all perspective 🌾

It’s 8:43pm.

The kids are sorted. The lounge is calling. You’re just having a scroll.

Then it happens. A reel stops you. Then a carousel. You’re swiping through ‘that business’.

The one that’s just got their s**t together.

And you think, “I wish Carol could do this for us.”

👉 When you’re ready to stop asking Carol to be the marketing department, DM me the word Carol and I’ll send through how we work.

Behind the scenes on something special ✨

A recent project for Destination Central West NSW (DNCW), capturing Jill from RedGround Truffles Australia for their Tourism Business Development Pathway Program.

There’s nothing I love more than this. From the paddock to the lens, sitting with regional operators, hearing what drives them, then translating it into visuals that do their work justice.

Especially when I’ve been the operator once upon a time too. I know that grit. I know that hope.

But this isn’t my story. It’s Jill’s. And Jill’s story is the kind that inspires people. It’s infectious stuff. The way she talks about her truffles, her dogs, her land, you can’t help but lean in.

And the support Destination Central West gives to operators like Jill is a gift 🙏 The Tourism Business Development Pathway Program has just launched and it’s already changing the game out here. I’ll pop full case study video link in stories ⬆️

Still pinch myself that I’ve created a life where I get to share country brand stories like this.
